Thank you Zim's for some GREAT memories growing up in Utah. My Grandparents' home was just off the Zim's exit, and every time we would take a family trip there and play the alphabet game in the car, the winner would almost always be the first person to see Zim's, because "z" was so hard to find. Sad to see a homegrown business like Zim's fail. :(
How great that a business has done things the right way, without going into debt, even in obviously tougher times. The warehouse supplies they liquidate will go to them instead of creditors. Good for them!
I remember when Zim's was on East First South in downtown Salt Lake back in the early 50's. I use to buy stamps for my stamp collection. It's neat how it has been in business so long. It was a fun store to shop. Those were the good old days.
