I think the offenses in this game can go toe to toe, but I think JD's defense wins a high scoring battle. 34-31 for JD.

i think ppl might be shocked by Logans D. But we will let it play out and see! Logan has had much higher powered offenses to go against than JD has. Sky view. highland ID.

Logan will win this game because their coach is an expert at picking teams apart. Ask Judge who beat Logan last year and then got walloped in the finals. Logan will play for aand win the state championship in 3A. Manning is a great quarterback and has plenty of receivers to go with him.

Parry by 5.5 pts? Whatever! JD has been ahead of Logan in both the DNews & Tribune in rankings for most of the year and NOW Logan is picked to win? Which one is it ... JD is better or not? My guess is YES they are better. This game will be for the State Championship, it is too bad that it is being played in Round 2. Logan should have won Morgan and we would be playing this game for the Championship! I am not so sure that Highland, ID is such a high powered offense, but OK. Logan LOST to Skyview and Morgan! Logan could NOT stop Morgans running attack as they will also have trouble with JD's (both quick hitting) As well as the ONLY tough Defense Logan saw all year as Skyview and look how that turned out! As I recall ... Delta and Judge have put up some pretty good offensive #'s this year and JD hammered them both! No doubt Logan has a GREAT offense, but let's see how they do against a GREAT Defense, that can score! Oh yeah, JD not too bad on "O" either! Home field ... JD 27-20!

Logan will win this game!

Do not count Judge in on this. Judge took over half of their season trying to find themselves they still are a bit confused. JD and Logan will be interesting game but with coaching think that Logan will pull it out.

I am excited to see this game. I agree it's too bad this is 2nd round game. I have not seen JD but have seen Logan often. I think the only way to beat Logan is to keep their offense off the field. They lack a true running game but Manning does okay from QB spot. It will come down to defense on both sides. Logan's defense is not as solid as last year and good teams have been able to move the ball well. If JD offense can put together some solid drives they should win. Favero is masterful this time of year so result will not suprise either way.

I definitely think the winner of JD-Logan will be in the final. PC and Cedar are not that great IMO. The other side of the bracket is a little more interesting to me. Any one of Hurricane, Delta, or Morgan could win on any given day. Judge is pretty weak IMO, and Hurricane will walk to the Semis, but it will be a dog-fight in the Semis between Hurricane and with Morgan-Delta winner (provided they are all healthy after this week's battle).

What are you implying by saying Hurricane gets to walk to the Semis? are you saying that the level of income in Hurricane is so low that they cannot afford a bus? i cannot believe how degrading people are now-a-days.

Hey RE:KG, thanks for not letting us get too serious. I'm sure that the Hurricane players could probably run all the way to Rice if they really wanted to but am also glad they have a bus. This is such a great time of year. Good luck to all of the remaining teams. Here's hoping that everyone plays their best and that truly the best team finishes as the champion.

I am not sure who is responding to me, but are you serious? I hope not, but just in case, I will explain.
Hurricane has a patsy opponent in the quarterfinals, so they will "walk" to the semis. Meaning, they will enjoy a nice easy stroll in their game this week. Honestly, I was paying Hurricane a compliment. Nothing degrading about that!

This Juan Diego-Logan match-up is for the state title, pure and simple. Logan's got the better coach and the better QB, but JD has the better team. Whichever teams wins this game, wins the 3-A title.

In each game, both teams are sound offensively. As good as the Soaring Eagles are, JD hasn't played a team with a quality QB...this will be a difficult match-up. Logan's games against Sky View, Park City, Highland (ID), and Morgan tested their defenses and exposed areas that have now been addressed.

Despite Juan Diego at home, I pick Logan 31-27.

There is no way Logan wins this football game. Juan Diego has the running game to play ball control and keep Manning and his offense off the field. Listen, JD has amazing team speed that allows their corners to play press coverage and their front four flat out get after it. Im sure JD has spent alot of time watching the Morgan-Logan game film which really exposes Logan's weakness on defense. Morgan was able to run the ball at will in that game and JD has two solid backs that could put up a bill each on the ground. I really do feel that JD's secondary will be the best Manning has seen all year. Manning has been solid on the ground this year but JD's team speed will eliminate him from getting to the outside. Juan Diego wins 34-20!

Logans receivers will destroy press coverage! Its not just a good QB they have some outstanding receivers including skabelund who is 6 ft 6 and has great hands.. and Logan can run the ball! you will be surprised! and there d isn't half bad! in fact I would dare say Logan has one of the better defenses that Jd has seen!

I do not know if I would go that FAR as to say "Logan has one of the better defenses that Jd has seen", seeing as they played Delta who was DEEMED as having one of the BEST Defenses in 3A this YEAR. And we all know how that turned out! Just because Morgan beat Logan does not mean that Morgan must be the team to beat in the upper bracket! Delta will STOP Morgan in their tracks as Defense will prevail and win the game, just as JD will do to Logan! I agree with the 5:35 p.m. statement ... and needless to say Logan has not addressed or fixed the areas that where exposed! JD wins in a tough first half battled ... HALFTIME JD 14-10, FINAL JD 27-17. Logan will not know what hit them .... oh yeah ... JD! Mark my word's .. Logans O-Line will NOT be able to deal with the front 4 of JD! Manning has NOT seen a pass rush like this one .... so go ahead and run away and watch the front 4 get even tougher against the run! GO JD!

JD is an "inferior" team. Manning and Logan will beat them the way they beat "Desert Hills".
