Boozer will leave for more money. Werever he goes he will be overpaid, and it
won't be to Miami. They have a power forward.

The Jazz have more depth on their roster than the Southeast conference. The
only thing holding us back is defense, and we seem to be playing better defense
without fouling as much.

Clips got Clipped. Milsap has developed a turnaround Jay/Lay/Dunk. Booz was

Please spare us the "how I would use Milsap," posts unless you are
under 14. Coach seems to be using him in a very intelligent way and our second
unit could beat three quarters of the teams in this league. Paul was amazing.
Most dominant quarter I've seen by any Jazz player in about 5 years. He
beat the Clippers by sheer force of will. Do it again on Wed!

may have a better result then the trade for Korver. I think that Knight should
back up Dwill. He really runs the team smoothly. Hart was the second biggest
space taker on the court only ahead of Jarron Collins. GO Knight and GO Sinan,

Why would you play PAUL MILSAP at small forward? That is stupid then who backs
up Boozer? I like how Miles and Brewer are playing the 2 and 3 Brewer should
never play the 2 his shot is awful he attacks the rim well and plays good

but let's not forget 2 of their 3 wins were against the 0-4 clippers. I am
in LA and it was hilarious to hear the Clippers TV announcers, "and the
clippers are getting lit up by 'Paul Millisap'....(long
pause)....that's right....'Paul Millsap'" (disbelief and
sarcasm because they hardly new who he was)
Brevin Knight I think did a solid job as a backup. The turnovers are down, he doesn't do anything wild and get's the Jazz in their offensive sets quickly.

oh man the Jazz are the best their 3-0! We're going to win the NBA title
this year were so darn good!

The Jazz have not yet played a contender, but things so far do look encouraging.
Milsap and Brewer have definitely improved in the off-season plus Knight has
all but locked up the backup one position. AK has been his old self and the
truth is that the "second" team with AK, Korver, Knight and Milsap has
been better than the staring squad sans-Williams. The bad news is that Miles
has yet to show much of anything--Price could get some minutes at the 2.
Williams, Brewer, Boozer, Okur, Knight, Korver, AK, and Milsap make a really,
really solid 8 man rotation. Price and Harpring could be added in as needed.
It looks like garbage time (or D-League where possible) only for the rest--Fes,
Kouf, Almond, Collins and unfortunately Miles. Overall--pretty encouraging so
far!

Brewer's shot is as good as or better than CJ's. I wish CJ would stop
taking long jumpers. He needs to make 3 layups or dunks, before he should be
allowed to shoot jumpers.

Milsap can not guard the 3 position. Milsap is a back-up player who brings it
every night. But he is not a Boozer who can score 20 every night and haul down
10 boards. If Boozer leaves then Milsap will have to prove himself to be a
starter. Right now with Milsap and AK coming off the bench along with Korver we
have a great bench play. CJ is fine as a starter with AK getting most the
minutes. The starting 5 have so much scoring that CJ fits in fine until AK
enters the game. This is the best offensive team the Jazz have ever assembled.
Now if they would show some effort on the defensive end, a championship is very
very possible for Utah.

Millsap was a beast! but don't forget Boozer put those number in day in and
day out! Millsap is going have to prove that he can do that in a consistent
level, but I love the Jazz

I agree with SC Jazz Fan about who the best 8 players are, except I think a
healthy Harpring is as effective for the team as at least three of those 8. In
other words, we're really 9 deep! Maybe 9.5 as Price isn't all that
bad. It'll be interesting to see if Kouf gets much playing time over the
year (to develop--he shows flashes), or if he gets relegated to the D-League.
When you're deep, any one of those 9 players can get hot in any game and save the bundling by the others. When no one's having an off night and one or two have a Milsap night, unstoppable! This Jazz team has as good a chance as any in getting to the finals this year.
Even though the first opponents have so far been cupcakes, with D-Will out, it's given the two PG backups a chance to gain some confidence and playing time, and allowed the coaches to see just which one should be D-Will's backup. My vote's for Knight. His experience makes him steadier, and that's key as a backup.
D-Will should just chill out awhile longer and be very ready when he's healed.

It's not every day that you can go 0-10 from the 3pt line and still win by
double digits. Some teams could never win without making a 3, that's why
the Jerry Sloan system is one of the best, and everybody who knows basketball
will tell you the same.
I absolutely LOVE to see Millsap step up and play like he did, and I hope this is just the start of things to come. It will make the loss of Boozer alot easier to take.
Bringing AK off the bench sure seems to be working well, he has been playing great so far.

I must say I was so happy with Milsap last night! It was great to see that much
energy! I wish he could play like that in all the away games!

A mediocre team? Are you kidding me? The Jazz has one of the all around
strongest teams in the NBA. The only thing mediocre was their defense, and that
is coming around. Lets look at the west...San Antonio...old.
Pheonix...hasn't figured it out with Shaq. Houston...plagued with injuries.
Clippers...nuff said. Golden State...rebuilding. LA...over rated but may be the
only threat the Jazz face this year in the west.

Here's how I see it, the jazz are the deepest team in the NBA. They have a
legitimit shot this year, but it's an outside shot(literally and
figuritively). What I mean is that for the Jazz to win it this year
they're going to have to hit their threes in the playoffs.

Millsap is amazing, and I love that he is eating the back-up center and PF
minutes That about 24 minutes a game unless he unleashes the beast inside and
has one of those games. I love AK, Boozer, Okur and Millsap playing right now.
They are averaging a combined 61 points and 34 rebounds-WOW.
Not making any rash decisions about Miles until he plays with Williams, but with the way Brewer is playing it is going to be hard not to give him more minutes. If Korver plays the first 6 or 7 minutes and last 6 or 7 minutes of each half. Brewer can start at SF, then when AK comes in he can move over to the shooting guard position. well", please at least know what you are talking about. Brewer's fg%
on jump shots was 44% in 07-08, good enough to rank him 38th in the NBA on jump
shots and ahead of notable players such as, Billups, Sczerbiak, Ben Gordon,
Tracy McGrady and Allen Iverson just to name a few. He is a fine option at the
two position BECAUSE of his jump shot, forget how it looks!

It's only been Denver and the Clips people....come back to reality.
It's going to be a dog fight between LA, Houston, NO and the Jazz and
someone is going to be unlucky to get SA in the play offs if they are healthy.
Let's wait until they get back from their first extended road trip before
everyone starts talking about championships or best record in the West. Harpring
in Miles slot for about 15 minutes is looking good right now if he is healthy.
Remember the Jazz came back with pretty much everyone on their team. They should be ahead of most teams as far as chemistry/team work goes for the first couple of weeks. Don't get to excited!! That goes for Ute fans as well!!

Why pick on Miles? Are the Jazz not winning with him in the starting lineup?
The NBA is all about matchups. Having CJ start makes the team better. Maybe I
am missing something here, but isn't winning games the only thing that
should matter to you fans. It's not like you are cheering for a contract.
CJ starting puts AK in a situation where he can succeed. If bringing Deron off
the bench would help the team win more games I would be for that too. I could
care-a-less about the players egos.

It seems like Korver is playing a lot like Matt H. He was setting hard picks
and going after every board. Is it me or is he much more physical than he was
one year ago?
It is also possible that the Clippers are going to be better than anticipated. This win may be a good win by the end of the season. Then again, it is the Clips.

I like miles and would love him to play well. He is not playing well now. His
shooting is horrible and in 3 games he has only one steel/no blocks. Korver has
5 by the way.
I think he will be a much better player once Williams is back in the line-up.

The Jazz are not a mediocre team, that would be teams such as the Nuggets,
Warriors, The Sixers, the Raptors, the Hawks, teams like that. The Jazz did not
choke last year, they got beat by a better team. I hate the Lakers as bad as
any Jazz fan but they were a better team last year. The story may be different
this year, the Jazz have another year of experience and chemistry behind them,
we will find out come playoff time.

all at the same time. It's like watching BYU against anyone, it's
funny, it's like the Jazz have more white guys on their team than the rest

Every win is important. Houston just lost to Boston at Houston. They actually
play better without Ming. Artest's shooting percentage is below 40 for the
year. Artest was 3 for 16 and Ming was 4 for 14. Boston out rebounded Houston by
5.
