If RSL plays like they did last weekend every game, they would be contenders in the EPL. Keep up the good work RSL.
Sure, and if the Blaze played to its potential, it could contend in the NFL or the Grizzlies could play in the NHL. The MLS is fine for the US, but don't even think of comparing it to the EPL or any other high level foreign league.
the News used to be the best at covering our beloved RSL, now the other paper has overtaken them in news and overall coverage.
Don't get me wrong, I love the articles, but you guys used to break the news and keep us updated.
Go RSL.
anyone know info on the bus to LA. i would love to be a part of that as we advance. GO REAL
Anonymous 1:25, call Teresa Nelson at the front office (866-9-SOCCER) and she will hook you up.
Anonymous,
go to the Real Salt Lake website for the bus trip.
Also, to the person that assumes I think MLS is comparable to the EPL. I didn't mean to say that MLS is even close to EPL, but I was just complimenting RSL for how well they played (other than finishing at times).
Sure, the Trib does what two or three stories at best in a week, but they are the better coverage? NO WAY!!!!!. When was the last time that other paper broke any story on RSL? The DNews is still by FAR the best when it comes to covering Real. Again I say it, BY FAR the best.
Re:Fan Yea, you're right. We're not up to the worlds elete, yet. The world caught up with the NBA didn't they? And as our youth get trained by more and more trained, talented coaches in the youth leagues and on up, the U.S. will catch up and be competitive with the world. Just give us 10 years.
Thanks for the coverage D news!
Good article
I think swagger is a bit of an overstatement... the team showed the same problem they've showed all season - an inability to put the ball in the back of the net. A good team gets 3-4 chances and puts one away. It took RSL... 21? Still, the all-out effort was much appreciated. But don't expect Chivas to sit back at home like they did in Sandy. I'd feel a lot better if we'd scored 2 or 3 goals at home.
We need to look to get another early goal. With Suarez in this week, I think it is a real possibility. He's good but we have the speed to get in behind early and often if we will commit to attacking. If we go up 2 on aggregate early in the match, they will be forced to press forward and we can look to put the last nail in the coffin.
Yeah, Emperador is no spring chicken.
But he's still one of the best in MLS and he's the best defender in CONCACAF of all times.
