I was at the game and I heard nothing, I mean nothing that was degrading. Some people are just unhappy with the outcome of the game....What do you even mean turning their backs....What were you watching, the trophy presentation or our fans???????
great Rebel fan | 4:26 p.m. Nov. 3, 2008
What we have to remember is the girls are the ones who played the game and they did it with great class. The volleyball team can't control what fans are chanting at a game. We don't want to take anything away from the girls who won the championship. Great job Rich and good job to Panguitch. You guys have a great coach and a great group of girls. Im sure we'll see you again next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Panguitch has the domination in Basketball and Rich has the Domination in Volleyball. This is what makes the rival fun. Both the coaches in Basketball and Volleyball are super and get the most out of their girls. That is why they are at the top as much as they are.

I also saw the Fan with a Burningham on her back yelling at her fans. She seemed quite foolish, as it was the studentbody making all of the noise for Rich. The Rich Studentbody was much louder than Panguitch's but the adults from both towns act very similar and have learned to enjoy great teams from both schools. The coaches from these schools in all their sports need to be congratulated, as you have gave us years of domination in Volleyball and Basketball. Keep it up

rich beat panguitch in boys and girls basketball last year.

Rich beat Panguitch in basketball last year, but have been dominated in years past in basketball
Anonymous | 8:52 a.m. Nov. 4, 2008
Panguitch we'll give you three weeks to get ready and then we'll settle this on the gridiron. No fans and no cheers just football.......oh wait..you won't strap on the pads I forgot.
Rebel Crazy | 9:03 a.m. Nov. 4, 2008
As I have been reading these comments I am appalled. You think that Rich was disgraceful and rude to the Panguitch team and fans. We did NOT cheer against Panguitch once, we only cheered FOR OUR TEAM!!! Everyone on here is simply unhappy that Panguitch got slaughtered by an outstanding team. The Rich student-body has nothing but school spirit for the team, and the community. I would like anyone to tell me what we said that was rude to the Bobcats... AHHHHH wait you can't...because we didn't. Everything we said was positive for our team...nothing more....nothing less. Everyone should be ashamed in thinking that Rich fans have no class. As the student-body president for Rich I for one am very proud of our fans and I love everyone of them. We did not once cheer against Panguitch!!! We Cheered FOR RICH HIGH!!! And Coach Stuart IS A LEGEND!!! GO RICH!!!! To all the Volleball players: You ARE AMAZING!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Kanab is better than both of you at everything.
1A Sports Fan | 9:43 a.m. Nov. 4, 2008
I think one of the biggest reasons Rich and Panguitch are so strong is that their fans and community back their coaches. The girls basketball and Volleyball have had the same coaches forever. I know the girls basketball coach from Panguitch and the Rich Volleyball coach are both in the Hall of Fame. That all comes from a community who is supportive of their coaches and players. More schools need to pattern their programs after these two fine programs.

So lets not rag on either program, just because success is making you a little jealous. We would all like to have programs as good as these two.

ok Panguitch you guys are just really poor losers..telling us that our student body was rude just because your mad about loosing the state game...get a freakin life...did you see any of us posting comments about your crowd last year when we lost?? i dont think so...so why dont you just forget about it..you lost, we won...GET OVER IT!!!!!...just because we totally kicked your butts your dissin on our student body now....you guys are ridiculous...you seriously need to grow up...you should be dissin on your student body..oh wait what student body? i didnt see one there which is why you should probably diss on them for not even showing up and supporting you in the state game..now they are the rude ones here!!!!
Re:1A FAN | 9:57 a.m. Nov. 4, 2008
Panguitch has the domination in what....did you just say basketball...come on...i cant wait untill December 12!!! at Richfield. How do you spell Team....T...E...A...M....there is no I, and there is no Track Norris. Rich has the whole deal, Their players are the best atheletes i've seen in a long time.
Proud REBEL CROWD member!!!!! | 10:12 a.m. Nov. 4, 2008
Just so you know I was in the crowd and frankly I think that our crowd was a lot more sportsmanship than that of Pang's. Personally all I have to say is at least our highschool is willing to support our girls. And for all you that found our cheers offensive...STAND UP AND CHEER YOURSELF!!! It is alot easier to sit and mope around when your team is getting destroyed than it is to cheer, but the CLASSY fans cheer through thick and thin! I think maybe you "PANG" fans you to take a lesson on sportsmanship from our crowd and not just give up on your team. Way To Go Rebels and KEEP IT UP CROWD!!!

Hey get your team and lets play baseball!! Just because our school doesn't have a team doesn't mean that some of us haven't played all over the state of Utah and Wyoming. So get your crappy players and lets play some baseball.

to "don't complain... raise your game"

i agree with what your saying.. i agree with everything except your number two part. just to refresh your momory rich smoked panguitch in basketball last year too!! call me crazy.. but im pretty sure that "title town" is no more!
anonymous | 1:07 p.m. Nov. 4, 2008
If you have ever noticed, when you come to panguitch for any kind of a game, we don't allow that kind of stuff. If your school would teach that, then maybe we would not have any of this going on. We have never treated any of you this way, no matter what sport it was when we won State Champ, like Girl's basketball. We respect our opponets, and the parent's of the player's. So a enough is enough no more trash talking and let's all get along, as we have a long year ahead of us, in all sports, to come.

Settle this on the football field, why? Is that the sport where you have 30-35 seconds of downtown and take timeouts?

Let's settle this in a cage. You won't be able to rest or run to the sideline like women. Survival of the fittest style. You interested?
Rebel for life | 2:27 p.m. Nov. 4, 2008
Finally we have some ammo for a real war! We are getting tired of beating up on the weak teams from our region. Duchesne can't field a competitive team, nor can Manila or Tabby. Bring on region 15....frankly region 16 is becoming a bore!
ABB | 2:36 p.m. Nov. 4, 2008
These blog comments are getting way out of hand. Of course the students and fans from each school think that their school is the best but does that mean we have to tear each other down like this? I was born and raised in Rich County, however, my mother and her parents were born and raised in Panguitch. This puts me in a unique situation as I have ties to both communities. Right now, I can honestly say I'm ashamed I have ties to either one. It is so sad to see the bashing going on here. The people from these communities are very much alike--proud of their communities and proud of the people in them and their accomplishments. Please don't come on here and belittle someone else to try and make yourselves look better. Its great to post congratulations to your team but seriously think twice before you post something mean that is going to cause someone else to post something mean in retaliation. Thanks :)

YES it is the sport where you have 30-35 seconds of downtime to take breaks but apparently it is still to tough for all you "women" from panguitch to handle. But I guarantee our PRESCHOOLERS would love your invitation to kick your butt in a cage. Just let us know when and where well try to round up a b-team to make it close! GO RICH
Region 15 Player | 3:15 p.m. Nov. 5, 2008
I am from region 15, and I wish we had football. We could beat any team in the state, we'd be state champs!!!!!!!!!!!No Doubt!!!!!!!!!! Long live long region 15................
Funny Panguitch | 3:38 p.m. Nov. 5, 2008
There you go again Panguitch. Dream on because thats all you have. You beat anyone in the state!!! Thats the funniest thing iv'e heard all day.
Rebel | 6:56 p.m. Nov. 5, 2008
Quit ragging on other schools. Panguitch, maybe our crowd was loud and at sometimes rude, but as you know you've done it too. We are just supporting our team like any other schools would do. And this rivalry between Rich and Panguitch is a good one, but once games are over we should be more classy to each other. Can't we all just get along. Oh and also, Rich is a very classy school. Yeah we have some kids that aren't the best, but don't put that on the whole school. We do have some very classy kids so please stop dissing on our team. We'll try to do the same. Let's just play our games and when it's over it's over.
Badger Fan | 5:53 p.m. Nov. 7, 2008
I am a student at wayne high school and i think this is absolutely ridiculous...calling each other to a cage match? you are pathetic. this article is about rich winning the championship. great job rebles. also nice job to panguitch too. i have friends on both teams and it was hard to cheer for just one, but i think rich definitley deserved it more. way to be!!!
Anonymous | 4:13 p.m. Feb. 22, 2009
Maybe all those people that say Rich's crowd is rude should learn their own lesson and tell their crowd to follow because they obviously cheer their teams to victory
so ha!
