Why not play a good NAIA basketball program like Westminster College which is 10 minutes away from the Utah campus. Why spend thousands of dollars flying over to Boulder?
is very beneficial.
Doesn't matter how good the NAIA team is, they're still NAIA and they provide no competition.
NAIA schools don't have anyone who can even think about guarding Neville....it's a waste of a game.
Much better to play a team that can actually compete with you than to play a game that's over before it starts.
Amazing what you can learn from reading the articles isn't it?
What's the point of playing an "exhibition" game, if fans are not allowed to watch or even get a report on how the game went?
Sounds more like a closed practice, than an actual "game."
Read the article.....They want to play the BIG BOYS... It would be nice to see them play Tommy's team but they want the experience with the BIG TEAMS.
The coach is paid to win DIVISION ONE games...bonus's go to making the NCAA's and wining DIVISION ONE conference titles, not beating up on the Jr. college down the road. The Crimson Club sells seats by winning against top competition.
because that's basically what it is, a closed practice.
Must be a BYU fan wandering about playing the NAIA teams.
