Go Real Salt Lake!
It will be a challenge | 9:27 a.m. Oct. 29, 2008
To get over the "we're just happy to be here" syndrome, but on the positive side, they should be playing loose, and without the kind of tension that they maybe had trying to get into the playoffs
Caution | 10:28 a.m. Oct. 29, 2008
Don't look too far ahead...worry about Houston when/if you get there...for now worry about kicking the spit out of the goats....

Proud of RSL for making the playoffs.
Hope that theser arent the last two games we will see them in action (though it probably will be the last home game)
Come on RSL.
You have a clean slate, lets make some noise
What? | 11:04 a.m. Oct. 29, 2008
Soccer is still here? Every time I see an article about soccer I read it sentimentally thinking "this may be the last one."
chivas? | 11:36 a.m. Oct. 29, 2008
Pereki,

Seems to own RSL.

What will change?
Yawn... | 11:51 a.m. Oct. 29, 2008
Soccer isn't a real sport and Rio Tinto isn't a good stadium name.
Ned | 12:08 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
"What?" Dang straight it's still here! And getting better. I long for the day people in the states get into soccer like they do in Europe or S America. It's coming.... Go REAL!!
RSL Ulty fan | 12:18 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
Soccer is the REAL SPORT and Rio Tinto = $$$ for the team. I hope you aren't a Jazz fan because their Stadium name is much worse and I am a big Jazz fan, but still realize how bad the name is.
re:Yawn | 12:24 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
You seem to comment on every soccer story. It seems that you take a lot of time out of our tiring life to read about soccer. So why dont you read things you enjoy and the soccer fans can read the soccer articles.
for the haters | 12:41 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
you guys are dumb. soccer is a year around sport. its the worlds game and the fans could easily out number any sports fans in the usa. i dont understand why you guys insist and wasting your time reading these articles just so you can say something dumb. be mature about it, they represent your state. you dont see us going to football articles saying how bad you guys suck and how you need to rest after every play and take timeouts all the time and play four different quarters. so leave the soccer world alone, you are out numbered.
RE: Yawn | 12:42 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
You sound very intelligent.

I will be there saturday cheering like crazy. I think if we can get a 2 goal win we will be in great shape. I'm really hoping for a 3-1 victory, although it won't be easy! Let's put Mov up top with Espindola and see what happens. Oh, and Jason, please, please, please don't start Kovalenko over Williams. Kovalenko is a red card waiting to happen, and his touch is absolutely terrible. Williams needs to be on the field for 90 minutes this game.
Re: Yawn | 12:48 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
You can't run for 90 minutes and you don't make good comments.
Soccer Haters | 1:08 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
I love the soccer haters that take the time to post on soccer articles. I love the grudges they have against soccer. I love it when they get caught in traffic on match days. I love it when they have to see our stadium every time they are on I-15. I love it that the D-News has great coverage of soccer and continues to produce good articles such as this one. I love annoying soccer haters almost as much as I love soccer. Go Real

This is going to be awesome. The goats are going to get a beat down for coming to town. I know some of you guys don't like Kovalenko but I think he gets a goal along with Fabian and Joy, and it will end 3-0. Then next week it is a 1-0 RSL victory. By the way its an own goal in Cali. See you all at the Mine.

My prediction:

RSL 2 Chiv 1

next game:

Chiv 1 RSL 0

Overtime: Chivas win. Only because they have home field advantage. Good luck Real, get out there and win. I love to be wrong when you win.
Craig | 3:03 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
I love it when the soccer moms get pissed at the soccer haters. Great entertainment.
MMM... Dollar dogs! | 4:06 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
I'm thinking saturday RSL 2 The Goats 1 and at chivas a tie 1-1 Yet another tie but thats soccer, and i still love it! RSL would have the edge matching them up to the dino's. Deuchar and Fabi are going to get our goals saturday night. No more Kreis Starting Mathis and leaving him in the full 90 if he does we'll lose!
The Rock | 5:38 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
Go RSL!!!
real fan | 5:40 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
i think they may be good enough to get past chivas but that is probably as far as they are capable. this offseason we need to beef up the roster. get some more quality players. especially on the wings who can give some decent service. maybe even one more quality striker with a nose for goal. we should use our designated player too. pull in some talent from europe or latin america. anyway, i wish i could be there this saturday. go real.

RSL comment haters.. | 6:02 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
The fact that these people read the articles and then take time to post on the internet about them shows that they are either threatened by soccer, or they just dont have a life and enjoy trying to bring other people down.

Go Real Salt Lake

and get a job haters
agreed | 6:12 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
Mathis should not be playing at all.
gettin pumped | 6:16 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
Say what you want about soccer, whether its boring or you dont like ties or possibly you cant handle the occasional time wasting flop. I love it. And its not going anywhere.... 20,000 plus will be there on saturday and i will be one of them!

Go RSL!! DESTROY CHIVAS!!!
RSL = LIFE | 6:23 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008

sideponytail | 8:13 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
The attitude the team now reflects in the playoffs is great. Now it needs to be reflected on the pitch on Saturday. Go at the Goats, be aggressive! Go for the throat! Play Deuchar/Espy not Mathis!

GO REAL!!!
GO REAL | 9:18 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
Agreed, let Mathis sit a few out. He seemed less than motivated last home game. So good to see the other guys off the injury list. I think REAL has a great shot this year. Cya yall Saturday!
good for them | 10:22 p.m. Oct. 29, 2008
That's great they have high expectations for themselves. The rest of the real world has none for them.
Paul Hamm? | 9:52 a.m. Oct. 30, 2008
Is Bart Connor, errr, Espindola healthy now?

no | 9:55 p.m. Oct. 30, 2008
