These Utah County Democrats are doing a wonderful thing. Now if we can just get a few of them elected along with throwing out Curtis, and Hughes in Salt Lake County true Ethics Reform might be possible. The arrogance displayed by Curtis, Hughes, Bramble, Buttars, Walker and the other ultra conservative Republicans is reprehensible. It is time to bring about a political balance in this state. All of these highly qualified Mormon Candidates running as Democrats is the best thing to happen in this state in thirty years. Vote Democratic and Save Utah. One more Mormon for Obama.

Moderate to Conseravative?

Tad,

How do you justify calling these Democrats moderate to conservative? Just because they are Happy Valley Mormons doesn't mean they can't be liberal.

Most of these candidates support higher taxes, oppose charter schools, and are heavily supported by the UEA and will end up doing what the UEA tells them to do.

Moderate to Conservative? Read their materials. All of them seem pretty conservative to moderate to me. Of course you are probably comparing them to Gale Ruzika.

Seems these ethical concerns only cut one way.

Did they say anything about DEMOCRAT Phil Riesen?

Frankly the Utah ethical concerns pale by comparison to the national Democrat Party's numerous major ethical concerns being ignored. (Obama's fund raising from questionable sources, associations with unrepentant terrorists, racists, anti-semites and criminals, and ties to voter registration/ballot fraud.)

Wait for Utah County Democrats say a few words about that if they want some credibility, instead of partisan double talk!

Ethics reform??? What about honest legislators? The reason ethics reform won't pass with the Republican Majority is that then the legislators wouldn't be able to continue with their "shady, unethical behavior" because there would be specific laws to stop it!

Amy

How did Curtis Bramble end up representating a waste management company negotiating a contract for Utah County?

Isn't that a conflict of Interest or a reward for campaign contributions to Bramble???

$125,000

That is the cost of Curtis Bramble's hot air balloon paid for by Salt Lake REAL because of "Bramble's role" in getting their stadium!

HOW IS THIS LEGAL???????

Ridgerunner

Ethic reform from Democrats? I spit my choc milk all over my sceen and key board I laughed so hard! Corruption and hypocrisy have a welcome safe home in the modern Democratic party! Barney Frank proves it! Even heard of the "corruption index"? It points to the Democrats!

RE: $125,000???

That's a lot for a balloon. The grapevine rumor I heard was that it cost Salt Lake REAL $55,000. Anyone having more specific facts on this topic should spill the beans BEFORE Curt gets to spend another 4 years in the state Senate!!!

(There, now that there are MULTIPLE people arguing on the DETAILS of this claim, how about Deseret News or some ETHICS committee doing a story on the validity of this public rumor claim, mKay?)
