I grew up in both Utah and Idaho and have lived in various parts of the country. With Obama's imminent victory in the presidential election, this organization will no longer have a legitimate need to continue its existence. I've had exposure to all races through college sports as well as academics. The only time I'm ever reminded of race is when I hear the term 'African-American'. I don't insist upon being called 'European-American', nor do I see a White History Month. I don't see the need for it. Until everyone is just a plain old American, racism will exist. The reasons that the aforementioned presidential candidates didn't succeed is because they played the race card. Obama hasn't. I find black history both fascinating and compelling. I'm happy and enlightened to learn about it. I count their accomplishments through hardships as equal to or greater than the Pioneers who settled these valleys. I acknowledge and empathize with the way they were mis-treated under slavery. We no longer have a need for 'Suffregettes', and I see no need for an organization which promotes favored status for any group, regardless of background. Let our accomplishments speak for themselves.

To Eric:
If only it was true to "our accomplishments speak for themselves.".

Accomplishments are not always rewarded - especially in Utah.
