Web sites dish dirt on Curtis, Seegmiller

Utah deserves better than either of these hacks.
Yea, that poor lonely minority party is just so picked on by the unethical.
He answered the survey like a true liberal Democrat. Nothing hidden.
He's for same-sex unions, legalizing marijuana, higher taxes, and public funding of abortion.
That takes true grit to say what you believe in the reddest state in the nation. May not be the best move to get elected but true grit it is.
Poor little martyr boy.
He also admitted that he opposed the constitutional amendment on marriage.
He also admitted that he opposed the school district split.
So you don't have to listen to the republicans to find out that Seegmiller is a closet liberal, listen to his own words, he has the interview linked to his website.
Seegmiller is counting on us being too lazy to check out what he really believes.
A vote for a freshman minority party candidate vs the speaker of the house...
I guess you can vote for a can-do-nothing representative or someone with a track record for getting stuff on the agenda and passed.
Do you want your representative to be able to get something accomplished or not? Depending upon your answer, choice is EASY.
I don't like everything the Curtis has done, but I'd much rather have all the good things he has ACCOMPLISHED rather than a minority party candidate unable to push the most vanilla flavored legislation...!
Even with the big downturn in the economy, Utah legislators, led by the Republican Party, balanced our budget without raising taxes or cutting education spending.
California, on the other hand, has sent their governor to Washington DC to beg for money from the federal government. In the meantime, they've continued to create lavish state-funded programs and raise taxes to the point that business owners and wealthy citizens are leaving in droves.
If you like what you see in California and the US Congress for that matter (with its lowest approval rating of all time at 12%) vote Democrat.
But if you want a well-run state, vote Republican.
The ethics complaints are just dirty campaign tactics to distract voters from our state's success.
Comparing politicians and dogs strikes me as unfair to dogs, who are as a group, honest, loyal, and courageous.
He's a good man and deserves the vote of everyone in that district who supports individual liberty and personal responsibility.
Steve Baugh, running against Steve Sandstrom in Orem, is a pretty conservative dude. Very pro-life. Running as a Democrat. And will likely win!
These republican leaders 'brow beat' other republicans in order to get their votes on the highly unpopular voucher issue. Several voted in favor of vouchers with their noses plugged because of the pressure from the leadership. This is just one example how out of touch the republican leadership is and an example of how it needs to be changed.
I do not live in Curtis' district, and have not been affected by the negative campaigning of the two candidates, I am sure both have been guilty of the politics of personal destruction.
I intend to vote for my republican legislators. They withstood tremendous pressure from the leadership to vote against vouchers because it would not be good for rural Utah and their district. It isn't all republicans that need to be voted out, just the leadership.
And whoever wins the race will not be the speaker of the house. There will be a normal and orderly succession of speaker, who of course will be big R.
Yeah sure, whatever, does Seegmiller really think the people will believe that?
Ridiculous.
What a joke. Nobody believes Seegmiller's election-year excuses.
Nobody believes it.
Let me guess, next you'll say Jay accidentally checked the box saying he supports recognizing same-sex unions.
By the way, Amendment 3 in 2004 lost in the district by more than vouchers did in 2007.
Jay Seegmiller is a LIBERAL democrat trying to hide his views in a CONSERVATIVE district.

Article, "I don't want to legalize marijuana" says Seegmiller (2008)
Candidate survey he was asked to "Indicate which principles you support" He checked the box next to the sentence "Allow doctors to prescribe marijuana to their patients for medicinal purposes."
Seems like a fairly clear contradiction here.
