Looks like White is pulling a Derek Fisher, what goober, why not say you don't want to coach, just be a man dude. What a panzy.
you go where there is job available and where they are willing to pay you. That's the nature of the game...
Blaze will lose QB Germaine and WR McKelvey to AZ, too. Should make for an interesting season.
Is there something wrong w/ the organization? Why would so many people be jumping ship? Honestly, I'll say this, they need to produce soon in the off season because the fan base will pick up soon enough on the exodus... hope not but if something is wrong?...
After three years without a winning season, are you suggesting that you would rather have kept Coach White? If so, many of us Blaze faithful would disagree. Regarding the players, wish we could keep recievers like McKelvy but I don't think the salary cap math allows it when all three of our receivers are among the top in the league. I'm pretty excited about getting Whitaker, Boone and Janek back.
Whatever it is, the fact is that the bad news has outweighed the good news this offseason...and I'm not just talking about the Blaze, I'm talking about the AFL as a whole. It's a scary time if you are an AFL fan.
Why be afraid if you're a fan? The AFL is doing well. Not sure what you mean
what the heck is that?
What a waste of time
I know there is some reasons to worry about the AFL as a whole. they have already lost one team, and there are rumors of more folding.
as for the Blaze. I am a fan. I love going to the games and meeting the players. but the organization as a whole is a mess. the office is a mess. we just lost an all arena quarterback (THE most important position on the field) because the front office included a STUPID opt out clause in Joe Germaines contract. someone should be fired for that one. the team will take a step backwards this season because of that. I am sure the team will sign someone to replace Joe that is either washed up or young and no experience for the AFL either way. this year is going to suck.
I'm so tired of all the negativity surrounding professional sports teams in Utah. No wonder we will never get an NFL or MLB franchise here. The AFL is just fine. It's actually being invested into by a company in California. It's in good hands. The Blaze front office is one of the tops in the whole AFL. Danny White and Joe both have deep roots in Arizona and I don't see anything wrong with either of them wanting to go back and play where their hearts are. And I certainly wouldn't want to coach or play for a team who's fan base consists of a bunch of whiners. Grow up! There are many great QB's on the free agent market that the Blaze will attract. It's going to be a great season. Here's to more professional sports teams coming to Utah!
