They said they wanted to carjack the car. But then they murdered the officer, he died in a median (the area is very rural and dark) and the two murderer's set the car on fire a mile away....
This is a tragedy. My heart goes out to his wife and child, and to his unborn child as well. It was an absolutely senseless act of violence and those responsible should face the maximum penalty.
