Aconcagua is in Argentina, in the Andes close to the Chilean border, no where near Brazil.

Outstanding! What an inspiration! I dream of climbing Everest someday and am climbing Aconcagua in February, which by the way is in Argentina not Brazil.

I first saw Carol as she strode up the steep Mt Olympus trail, passing me as I gasped for breath. The next year we met on a hike over the same mountain and across Wildcat Ridge. She is definitely made of the best material, and has an iron will. She is also a good person.

I can imagine how it feels to be on top of Mt. Everest, it's like giving birth naturally at home! You climb that mountain and when you are finally there, time stands still. But you are not done, takes a while to get back to being up and running around like you are used to but you are stronger because you've been on top of the world!

People who climb mountains or do anything difficult are an inspiration to me. :)

You nailed this, Molly. It's a close as I'll ever come to Mt. Everest

Hi Molly, My name is Jenna Lisonbee, I am a 4th grade teacher at Foothill Elementary in Orem. I read your article about Carol Masheter climbing Mt. Everest and being a mountaineer myself, I was reminded of just how much we can learn from climbing mountains. This past week I have been teaching my students about Mt. Everest in particular and then your article was published and it fit right along with our lessons :) My question for you is how can I get a hold of Carol? I would love to have her visit my class and tell of her experience. If you have any information that would be great. You can even pass along my email address to her if that would work. Please let me know. Thank you for your work as well. You have a gift for writing.
