Timpview plays on a different playing field. They looked very sharp on offense and defense. Springville needs to put this game behind them and roll Payson. If they can do this they still have a chance to win a game or two in the playoffs.
more big hits from Craig Bills, with sweet plays from Chris Badger, Bronson Kaufusi, more dominating blocking and running and a passing game that is getting better each week.
Timpview is rolling.. can't wait until the playoffs!
Timpview, the next Skyline of High School Football? just throwing it out there.
I was at the game, on timpviews side I must admit, but it was a lot more sloppy than it seemed. There were penalties, but admittably less then there usually are. What annoyed me was that call on unsportsmanlike behavior when.. I don't know who it was frontflipped into the endzone. Also a guy I had dated on springvilles team was very pissed off at the end of the game. Understandable yes, but it was so bad I was scared to even talk to him for a while. Timpview and Springville are good teams but it seemed like Timps defense wasn't that good close to the end, probably because of Wong putting in his second string. The next few games for both of them should be interesting.
what the random??
What in the world are you talking about?
To Who Knew:
The anesthesia should wear off anytime now!
I thought out of all of the other region teams, you guys came to play and weren't scared. You guys came out fired up, had a few defensive stops, and showed that you guys are for real. Unlike Mountain View, who cowardly quit before the whistle blew, you're coaches had you prepared and ready to go.
I think you guys are the only other team in the region to make a run in the playoffs. Congrats on turning your program around and good luck in the playoffs!
I agree that Springville was scrappy and played until the whistle on each play. They are very lucky to have Coach Mitchell. They are a completely different team than last year.
I must disagree however, that Mountain View was cowardly. That is an unfair statement and should be retracted. What Mountain View has done in the last two years is unbelievable especially considering where they were just over two seasons ago. Beating East last year was simply awesome. Coach Johnson has is doing a superb job with this good school.
Remember that these teams you are referring to are in our region (region 7) and should be respected.
Out!
I recall Mountain beating you Springville
?
Thanks for the class comment.
However, I didn't think Wong showed class keeping his big dawgs out in the first two series of the 3rd quarter, tacking on another 7 to the 40 at halftime. That was excessive and rubbing it in. I didn't have a problem with the last score, when some of the 2nd string kids were in; I'm okay with the back-ups playing hard and showing what they've got.
The Red Devil defense needs to show more looks, more blitz packages. They're giving up too many big plays. Let's make some adjustments and get after Payson.
GO DEVILS!!!
Wow in case you are forgetting its football. You don't need to cry yourself to sleep because the coach left his starters in for 1 series after the half. Boo Whoo :(
bad you should have seen the TV--Provo game last year--I guess the Principals, A.D's and Head Coaches were mad at each other and the poor Provo boys got the brunt of it; let's hope things are done classy this time around.
How many times did Timpview pass on that scoring drive with the starters in the second half. I will give you a hint it is less than and not equal to one. That's right they ran the ball all the way down the field. So it wasn't like they were mixing it up.
Why is that the winners of games are often told they have no class by the losers (usually the fans of the losers not the players)?
What ever happened to "losing with class"?
Maybe you should go to one of your baseball games so you can show us how to lose with class.
I'd love to except for the fact that my team isn't TV and we don't lose very often.
So, I'm afraid that I would be a poor teacher.
However, perhaps you should just keep attending YOUR football games and you will eventually learn how to be a classy loser.
Springville is a joke. Mountain view is a joke.
At some point, the starters need to play more than a half.
let pv, dixie and snow canyon join region 7 everyone after timpview is a joke in that region
To Why Not:
This would be awesome. I wish these teams would join Region 7.
Then that could be a region to be proud of.
