point guard Miles | 11:32 p.m. Oct. 15, 2008
I was impressed with Miles minutes at point guard, it showed his versatility. he had some turnovers and some nice assists as well. He struggled a little with the pass first mentality of a point guard but played better than some pure point guards I have seen. I like the fact that sloan is experimenting with different combinations in the preseason.
Playing AK at small forward off the bench was not as effective, we need him inside, the nuggets had too many points in the paint. I thought that was the whole point of the AK experiment after all.

They beat are Mountain Renvue Rejects? I wasn't impress with CJ miles shooting at all, either the game is too fast for him or he needs to get in the gym with Horny because he miss alot of shots, Morris also played pretty sloppy, but D-will is D-will, he was the best player on that floor. and the Nuggets still look like thugs in shorts.

It looks like it might be a down year for the Jazz. They did basically nothing in the offseason to address the defensive weaknesses on the team, while other teams in the West have improved themselves. Houston signed Artest, and Phoenix now has Shaq for a whole season. I know Artest has potential to blow his top and Shaq is getting old, but these are two strong defensive players and this is the type of player the Jazz should have pursued in the off season. Instead they came back with basically the same team and the same weaknesses. Thumbs down to O'Connor for not getting the job done, the Jazz sorely need a defensive presence and enforcer on the team. They are going to get pushed around just like they did last year.

The problem that the Jazz have without Williams is that they do not have a player that can take over and run the game. Knight and Price Hmm. Last night it was very evident that with Miles at the point the process was breaking down.

26 turnovers, come on! Jazz will be lucky to even make the play offs this year with that kind of play. I guess a good lesson was learned.
AK at 4 | 12:05 p.m. Oct. 16, 2008
We got to find way to put AK at 4. Do you know how?

You people don't get it. This was a PRESEASON game. The Jazz played well when starters were on the court. We struggled when we had Mcnamara or Miles running the point. We finished the 4th quarter and overtime with guys that will NOT be on the roster when the season starts. Kevin Lyde, Mcnamara, and some other dude I've never even seen before were on the court in crunch time. This doesn't mean the Jazz won't make the playoffs, and it certainly doesn't mean the Thuggets are a better team.
The Jazz are playing around with players in weird positions because these games don't matter. Miles will not be our poin in the season EVER. I do hope Sloan will treat the last 2-3 preseason games as a regular season game so the players can get used to the minutes and flow of a normal game.
