McCain has sure honed his image over the last two debates...crotchety old man
with hair-trigger rage with no other choice but to sling slime and fear, rather
than focus on real issues. That may have worked the last 8 years, but America
sees through it now. Obama might as wells start looking at carpet swatches,
because he's moving into the White House...

If I am not mistaken, in England they allow campaigning only 12 weeks before an
election.

Don't they have to take the carpet with the presidential emblem in it? I
suppose that stuff doesn't come from carpet barn, does it? Maybe they get
it at a 'presidents day price crasher'. Seriously, though, Geebee, you

Democrat lobbyists might be political pariahs on the presidential campaign
trail, but that hasn�t stopped them from trying to help
elect Sen. Barack Obama as president. Obama has pledged to forgo
lobbyists� political contributions and minimized their role
within his campaign. Yet, for the past two years, many lobbyists have found
creative ways to stay involved, volunteering on policy committees or having
spouses contribute to the campaign. More recently, Washington-area lobbyists and
lawyers have looked across the Potomac to the battleground state of Virginia to
put their dollars and volunteer hours to use. While lobbyists are also prevented
from contributing to the Democratic National Committee, they can donate to
Democratic state parties. Last month�s Democratic
fundraiser, however, is part of a larger effort among area lobbyists and
lawyers, many of whom live in Virginia, to become active in the campaign. An
informal group of them has been holding periodic brown-bag lunch meetings to get
a read on the state of the election from the Obama campaign and to allow for

If Obama is so honest, than why did this go on?. Hope it's brought out in
this debate. Officials in Ohio are investigating voter fraud connected with
Acorn, and Florida's Seminole County is withholding Acorn registrations
that appear fraudulent. New Mexico, North Carolina and Missouri are looking into
hundreds of dubious Acorn registrations. Wisconsin is investigating Acorn
employees for, according to an election official, "making people up or
registering people that were still in prison." Then there's Lake
County, Indiana, which has already found more than 2,100 bogus applications
among the 5,000 Acorn dumped right before the deadline. "All the signatures
looked exactly the same," said Ruthann Hoagland, of the county election
board. Bridgeport, Connecticut estimates about 20% of Acorn's registrations
were faulty. As of July, the city of Houston had rejected or put on hold about
40% of the 27,000 registration cards submitted by Acorn.

There's no debate about it. John Danforth, a former senator from Missouri
and a former United Nations ambassador, said he is deeply concerned "that
this election night and the days that follow will be a rerun of 2000, and even
worse than 2000." It could be worse than the hanging chad controversy and
recounts in Florida, and lead to political accusations and court fights that
could delay the country from knowing the election's true outcome. The
controversy goes to revelations in recent days that canvassers for ACORN, a
community organizing group, have turned in large numbers of fraudulent voter
registration forms, including some where a potential voter has registered
multiple times. Others include the names of cartoon characters and the Dallas
Cowboys football team. The Republican Party and supporters of McCain say that
Obama has several ties to ACORN, whose acronym stands for Association of
Community Organizations for Reform Now. Obama should ask ACORN to stop employing
people with criminal records. Will this come forth in this debate?. McCain and
Sarah will win "hands down 2008".

real learning, and a education, to a "pre-programed O-bot" lead by

issue of experience to the forefront of the 2008 presidential campaign, voters
between 18 and 34 rank experience low among the qualities they want in the next
president, according to a new study by MTV Networks. We all know what's
between their ears, nothing. This is another reason McCain will win this debate.

I am not going to vote for some wannabe rock star icon, I want a MAN in Office,
that knows something. You can look at the record of what he's done or you
can just go with your gut, but either way you're left with the same
conclusion: Senator Obama is going to raise your taxes. And in this economy,
raising taxes is the surest way to turn a recession into a depression. Senator
Obama also promises to restrict international trade and risk access to foreign
markets for American goods and services. The last President to raise taxes and
restrict trade in a bad economy was Herbert Hoover. That didn't turn out
too well. They say those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to
repeat them. Well, I know my history lessons, and I sure won't make the
mistakes Senator Obama will. And were my opponent elected with a Democrat
Congress in power, not only would there be no check on my opponent's
reckless economic policies, there would be considerable pressure on him to tax
and spend even more. McCain and Sarah 2008. That's our TEAM, no debate
about it.

Bam Obama from all TV slots. Even this debate. Measuring public opinion should
include measuring how many people don't have strongly held views, as well
as those who do. The failure of most polls to differentiate between the lightly
and strongly held views of the public is one reason we can't trust the
polls to reflect the will of the people. My view is that providing information
to respondents in a sample results in a distortion of what the public at large
is really thinking. Different pollsters give different information, and then
present the results, which often conflict with each other, as though they
represent the American people. My concern is on the substantive opinions
reported by media polls and why we can't trust them. Until pollsters
address the consequences of their manipulation of respondents into giving
meaningless answers to poll questions, public-opinion polls will continue to
confuse more than enlighten. Those are hardly useful "insights."
Instead, they make a mockery of polling and of the claim that polls can measure
the will of the public. The lies we hear from Obama, and think they are the
truth, when they are NOT. McCain 2008.

If someone has to watch a debate to determine their candidate, then they
don't deserve to vote. Debates don't define the candidates anymore
like they did in Lincoln's day, instead you get stale talking points from
those who are running for president.

Obamacon is "Clueless on Economics". Hope it's brought out in
this debate. This summer, when oil prices were at all-time highs at more than
$140 a barrel, Sen. Barack Obama bitterly complained about big oil, oil
speculators, and windfall profits and demanded new taxes on energy. Now oil
prices have fallen below $80 a barrel. Experts expect that prices will continue
to fall to below $60 a barrel within the next week or two. If it was greed that
caused high prices, is it altruism and generosity that have caused prices to
drop? Of course not. Obama got it all wrong. It wasn't greed. It
wasn't big oil. It wasn't speculators. There was no need for more
energy taxes or a new "windfall profits tax" which would only be paid
by consumers at the pump and further shackle the economy. Market forces, supply
and demand drove oil prices up this summer. The supply of oil was tight compared
to the relatively high demand. That stands as one of the most stunningly stupid
presidential policy pronouncements in modern history. McCain and Sarah 2008 all
the way.

two presidential debates, the temptation is to suggest that the smartest thing
McCain could do for tonight�s final debate is to call in
sick and send Sarah. But since he will be the one going toe to toe with Obama
tonight, McCain might want to consider getting serious about trying to win the
debate and the election. The best thing he could do for himself and for his
fellow Republican Senate and House candidates who are sinking with him and, most
important, for his country would be to take Obama up on his boastful dismissive

cover-up that sinks people. Liberals are working overtime to cover up their role
in the mortgage meltdown. Not only did they block attempts to reform Government
Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac before they
could drag down our economy, but liberals also abused the Community Reinvestment
Act (CRA), turning it into a vehicle for directing loans to unqualified
homebuyers. The left knows that whoever shapes public understanding of what
caused today�s economic crisis can shape
America�s politics -- and its future -- for a great many
years to come. Thus, they�re pushing the notion that too
little government regulation was at fault. If the country buys this idea,
liberals can enact a carbon-copy of FDR�s response to the
Great Depression, building a larger, more activist and ever-more-controlling

wisdom that more government is the solution, rather than understanding how big

The Acorn debacle actually has nothing to do with Obama or McCain, both of whom
have supported Acorn. The whole issue revolves around paying individuals to get
voter registrations. A number of entrepreneurial Acorn reps choose the easy
/fraudulent way to get their $$$s and submitted forged documents.

Interesting how the media puts these two..who are saying the same exact thing...Big Government and No Civil rights in the forefront. why isnt there a debate with ALL the parties? We have Libertarian, Constitution, Green and other parties who have much better suited candidates than these dim whits. We are fast becoming a socialist nation. The fake debate, preapproved scripts by both parties will be unimpressive, nausiating and enraging..they will bicker and pull at each others hair then we will be left to wonder what the country has come to. Its time to look at the other candidates and vote for a real person, not a corperate puppet!

America is being led down the primrose path by an over-educated, silver-tongued,
promise-them anything-and-everything, vote stealing, slick, deceitful lawyer.
It's true McCain doesn't hold a candle to the "messiah"
(so-named by none other than Louis Farrakhan)in the skills of deception and his
undisputed ability to deceive those who clammor for "change." Folks,
please remember the pronouncement by Honest Abe that you can fool some of the
people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can't
fool all of the people all of the time. B.O's day of reckoning is coming
when his "spread the wealth" around socialist agenda for America
catches up with him. Also, you folks who think that B.O. is the salvation of
America's system of corrupt government, you are destined to learn by sad
experience that Democracy is the worst form of government except all those

(other than where's the "R" candidate) matters to him/her. But

All you people that own your own business, have pass through corporations, or LLC's better get ready for big tax increases, because that will include you. You may not net $250,000, but your business makes it, so you will be taxed on it. He will raise capital gains. You buy a foreclosed house at a low price now, and flip it - watch out on how much tax it will cost you.

Too bad Bush did such a great job in all but destroying our constitution and

The election of Bush was cast in the light of good vs. evil and according to you Republican�s good won. How could anyone have screwed up our nation as much as Bush did in only eight short years? It is entertaining to see the true feelings percolate up from the republicans
here in Utah. It is happening all over the country. The fear of the far right
wingers, conservatives and religious-based thinkers.
I believe that it is really exposing a deep seated racism and ignorance. At a minimum it is small-mindedness.
By the way, have any of you McCain supporters read the full story on McCains Keating dealings? How about how he cheated on his devoted wife after she was deformed in a car wreck... then started chasing 'richer skirts?' Cindy and John were married like 5 weeks after his divorce from Carol. Guess that makes Cindy the "first home-wrecker" in the white house if John wins. Go look it up on google of wikipedia.

Who has screwed up the nation in the last 8 years? I would imagine if people
really took an honest look at it, up until the last couple of years, the
majority of people in the United States are in better shape than they were 8
years ago. There are certainly more millionaires, more homeowners, people are
making higher incomes. Don't blame Bush for people buying homes they
couldn't afford! That was their own decisions. Bush didn't take down
the Twin Towers or run a plane into the Pentagon. Bush was not responsible for
hurricane Katrina nor Ike, the California wildfires, or any other natural
disaster. Yes, we are in a war, not being fought on our own soil which I'm
grateful for, but how many jobs were created or continue because we are in a
war? Yes, gas prices have gone up and down, but how many jobs have been created
because of the increase? And I don't imagine stockholders or royalties
owners are complaining because of an increase.
Look at your own Senators and Representatives and what they have done for the economy, and then make an informed decision as to who is best to lead us.

If McCain starts in with the Rush O'Hannity-type attacks calling Obama a liberal or terrorist - that should certainly seal his doom.
America (the REAL America - not the fascist one) is sick to [bleeping] death of this sort of drive-by politics and in my opinion, has already spoken.
