Thank you to the Deseret News for this great article! It's so great to see speedskating getting some attention and deservedly so. These athletes train so hard, everyday, and with a majority of them living/training here in Utah, what a great asset they are to our state!
I was lucky enough to attend the last World Cup Competition at the Oval in February, and I was not expecting how much fun it would be! Everyone needs to attend at least one speedskating event in their lives! And having the Oval (which has the 'fastest ice on earth') here is a great reason to get the locals out there supporting the US Team!
It has so many great elements that appeal to everyone: fast paced, action packed, thrilling, exciting to watch, and to see these young athletes strive to do their best and push themselves is such an amazing thing to be a part of.
Thanks again!
