You have soo much common sense why aren't you coaching a major college
football team? Hmmmmmm.....just as I thought. Easy to be a Monday (Sunday)
morning quarterback. There are several college and even a few pro coaching jobs
that will be available in a few months. I expect your application to be
submitted.

greedy fool. Winning isn't enough, you want to win them all by 45?
It'll never happen. be grateful they are winning again. You did, I hope,
glance at the scoeboard before you turned off the tube, yes?
It is one thing to B&M when the team is getting beat but quite another to do so when they are winning 16 in a row and haven't lost at home in 3 years. You are the bandwagon jumping arrogant know-nothing that makes cougar fans easy targets for yewts. If you don't like it, find a team you do like and leave the rest of us alone.

I am checking out all the BYU blogs and yes there are plenty couch potato morons
flapping thier chops about Bronco and his staff. Please stop acting like you
are a fan when the cougs are rolling/ winning then trashing them when they are
struggling and.....oh yeah still winning. Are you an idiot????? Please
don't open your mouth in public and state your allegiace to BYU. Its fans
like you that ruin a good day at the stadium. Do you really think the offensive
coaching staff is as dumb as you?

Common Sense might not be totally on, but his concerns are legit. This O has
digressed over the last two games. Thursday is scary. BYU's looked
susceptible on the road...not an easy stretch at hand with only 2 home games
remaining and 4 road games...two that will be extrememly difficult. We'll
finally understand who this team is come Thursday night.

You doubters need to give NM some props. They are a strong team whose losses
were to good programs (Texas A&M, Tulsa, TCU) and with a quality win over
Arizona and a shutout against Wyoming. Rodriguez is a load for any defense and
their swarming defense gives most teams problems. Most of us knew this would be
one of the tough games for BYU and they passed the test. The next big test comes
up this Thursday. All BYU can do is beat the teams they play each week. They
cannot control how well those teams do otherwise.

Can't say that BYU was as empressive as they have been in the past, but you
can't expect this team to blow out every team it comes up against, they
have all been scouting byu and they aren't about to roll over for them or
the Utes, It will be interesting to see what they do against TCU.

I'm a Cougar @ heart but I beg this team to wake up before disater strikes. We're lucky to have had this game on the micro network because when I see players smiling while we're down 3, something is wrong.

If we do everything right, with maximum effert, and the ultimate game plan...it still may not be good enough.
TCU can carve us up, they are a great team!

In my opinion we all need to credit NM more for having a pretty good team. They
have a good running attack and a good defense. They also beat a decent Arizona
team. Games like the UCLA game don't happen very often. Not only does one
team play really well, but the other team needs to collapse. It doesn't
mean the Cougars aren't any good because we didn't massacre NM. We
may not have an easy win the rest of the year.

Rule #2, Everyone is entitled to his (or her) opinion. Allow everyone to express their opinion. If you disagree, do so with some class and some intelligence. Don't just flame someone because you know a few good words. Make your post worthy of a knowledgable fan.
Rule #3, Don't pretent you know everything about what is going on. The coaches and players spend their time doing what their considerable talent suggests is best. When you are a fan, you really don't know what is going on - so don't trash those who do.
Summary, Many fans enjoy reading intelligent, meaningful (and sometimes humorous) comments. I'm pretty sure the majority of readers aren't interested in sophomoric, classless, unkind and lucicrous drivel.
If you have something to say, make it meaningful and intelligent!

I agree with Lobo Howler.
Football is a game that is unpredictable. How else could the so-called experts be so wrong about the games involving top 25 teams (there have been quite a few "upsets").
It is very difficult to win 16 games in a row, it is very difficult to win 12 games in a season. Virtually every team gets really amped up (i.e. USU and UNM) to play a top ranked team. The top ranked team cannot affort to get amped up for games against poor teams (USU). If they do, they tend to be flat against their next opponent.
When you are in the top 10, winning is far more difficult than when you are not ranked because everyone gives you their best shot. And you have to be steady so you can play every game equally.
I have said before, winning 12 games will - in the end - impress the voters more than blowing out UNM. Win all 12 and the success will be evident and no one will remember the scores of the USU and UNM games in January!

I remember 2001 with Luke Staley running through defenses right and left. He
goes down and what happened. Let's hope BYU players stay healthy. That is
much more important than how much they beat someone by.
