Again, the Wing T is great against smaller teams when you don't have a big
line. But against much bigger lines, it just doesn't work. Give Riverton
credit, they kept playing, But Miller really needs to change his mind set with
that offense in Region 3. Good win Bingham.b

Riverton is a good team. Probably a top 10 team. This game could have been much
closer.
Bingham is continuing to improve. Play calling is most improved. It's awesome to see them opening up their playbook a little deeper. Passing on 1st down, play action out of the I formation, shorter controlled passing attack. I am impressed with the running attack also. Defensively they are playing well. Riverton's wing option attack was ran well but Bingham played disciplined D and stayed at home with their assignments (for the most part). Good job D.

To all you who were posting last week that Riverton was going to upset Bingham,
this was your wake up call, Bingham is for real, I also read a post last week
that said Riverton was going to win because Riverton had good balance on
offense, What??? They run and run and run, there is no balance I saw, you are
not going to run on Bingham, LT and Peck will eat you alive as we saw. Any pass
that was thrown was either tipped or picked, there was basically two plays that
Riverton was successful with, draw play and sweep with #22, that was about it.
No not #44 up the middle against the J.V.'s and Soph's doesn't
count. The Miners are coming, everyone wake up!!

"Wake up", they still don't believe and will predict a Hunter win
on Wednesday. Count on it. I'd rather they stay in their little dream
world. We'll give 'em a wake up call in the playoffs.

Fist thing Bingham had an amazing game last night!!! I knew we could pull it off... and I am so so so EXCITED for another big win agianst Hunter!!!

Nice job Miners! Keep it going, the trophy's been sitting in the same 5
mile stretch for 2 years now. One way or another we need to make sure that

Hey at least Riverton can beat the miners in pretty much every other sport. OH
yeah like volleyball smashed them on Tuesday and their girls soccer team were
region champs. Way to go wolves keep up the good work.

Your confusion is understandable since you are probably going by how many region
banners hang in each gym. For more accurate information check the trophy cases
and you're welcome to keep the search within the last nine years if it will
make you feel better. Heck, you can even count your summer trophies from camps
and tournaments. You might also want to click those heels and repeat "
there's no place like home".

There are 19 region titles awarded each year. Bingham averages 13-14 every
year. Riverton typically wins 1-2, as do the other schools in the region.
Bingham only hangs state banners for obvious reasons.

Riverton football is pretty simple. They are able to beat the teams that have
lesser talent, and they lose to the teams with equal or more talent. I will go
on record as predicting this much: They will lose to either Hunter or Kearns to
finish the season. The "Wing T" offense needs to go. Otherwise plan on
the annual 5-6 wins and first round exits that Riverton fans have grown
accustomed to.

honestly riverton has the talant to win these better teams. They are a good
group and the play calling is killing them. They need to open up the pass game
so it will open the run game as well. If Miller would not run middle, middle,
sweep, middle ,middle, counter, and then maybe throw if they have to then they
would have a chance,

Should have left that door closed rhs parent, now the wind is blowing in all the
facts, and truth at times hurts. Just stick to win/loss record, thanks to
pre-season padding it will always be a source of pride. Want to play with the
big boys? Schedule tougher pre-seasons, it won't look as good on paper but
will force you to improve. Oh, and dump the Wing T,it's pathetic. You have
a strong armed quarterback, excellent receivers, and fast powerful running
backs, get a system that will use them, not that gimmicky joke of an offense.

The problem with Riverton is they are constantly pumping their chest out about
how they do against Bingham because success against Bingham doesn't come
very often. So enjoy the region banners that hang in the gym and outfield
fences. What they don't understand is although the programs at Bingham do
pay attention to Riverton and the other schools in their region, they are only
USING these games as a warm up to another deep run into the state games.
Bingham uses Riverton kind of like that little brother who practices and
practices to finally win a game, then puts some money on the next game and gets
killed because the older brother needs to take his date out later and needs the
money. Playing against Riverton is sometimes boring until it actually means
something like going for another state title. I have spoke with a number
players in Bingham's programs - they get excited to play Alta a lot more
than Riverton or any other team in the region.

Who won in Baseball in the State Tourney? Refresh my memory on who eliminated
Riverton? Even when they finally get their region title in baseball, Bingham
eliminates them in State, where it really matters.

I don't even follow every sport but it seems like in boys they won Region
in Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Football. I thought they did in wrestling,
track, swimming and tennis. In girls they won Cross country, tennis, softball.
That is more than Riverton just off the top of my head. I am sure I missed a
few.

Why are you people letting the conversation move away from the fact that BINGHAM
DESTROYED RIVERTON ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD!? If they wanna talk about other
sports they can do it with comments on articles about THOSE sports. THEY
CAN'T BEAT BINGHAM IN FOOTBALL SO THEY WHINE ABOUT "BEING BETTER"

I resent the debate comment. Bingham has won the last 4 state chapionships in
that too. We beat Riverton in the classroom AND in athletic competition!
Honestly, a nine (or is it ten) year old school without a single state
championship! Wow! Last year Riverton had one of the last two undefeated teams
in both baseball and softball. Both lost the undefeated game and then both were
knocked out of the tournament by----you guessed it---Bingham! Oh well, one more
year for Riverton without a state championship.

Hey I know it is barely a sport, but is Riverton still in the girls state
playoffs????? Bingham is moving on, but will not get to play Riverton, because
just like EVERY sport since the school's inception they loose in State. As
soon as you win '1' state championship in any sport, jump back on
here.

ALTAFAN, I know that "Soccer" didn't make his/her point
entirely clear but after re-reading that post a few times I think it was saying
Riverton hasn't won any state championships. For example: Bingham is
moving on, but will not get to play Riverton because like EVERY sport since the
school's inception they loose (sic) in State. So, in short, it looks like
both of you are pointing out that Riverton hasn't taken a state
championship.

I think there are going to be three competitive games in region 3 next week. Riverton/Kearns might be the best. Hunter always brings its "A" game against Bingham (never mind that Bingham has blown them out the last four years running). Copper Hills and West Jordan. . .Ok, I think Copper Hills is going to win big. I was just trying to be nice earlier. That passing game seems like it's just too much for the Jags.
