CowboyNationRules!

I told you guys yesterday that my COWBOYS are going to shock Salt Lake City. I also promised that if we lose--WE WON'T--I'll be a real WYOMING MAN and admit it the next day. All I ask is that if we beat you guys all of you Utah fans, that have been insulting me, admit that COWBOYNATIONRULES!!!

I realize that everyone in Wyoming and the rest of the Mountain West gets stoked to play BYU because they dominate our conference and they're the only team in our conference with national respect, but I really believe our team wants to beat you guys almost as much as they did BYU (simply because we want to save Joe's job).

Okay my Utah friends. Again, I promise to admit I was wrong if we don't win, but I want to hear a promise from all of you "Utes" that insulted me yesterday that you'll admit "COWBOYNATIONRULES" Goooo Wyoming!!!

Letdown anyone?

This is the perfect game for a UofU letdown. A highly motivated, highly inferior team on the road. It's never fun playing in Laramie and the Pokes are TERRIBLE this year. As a BYU fan who realizes Utah needs to keep winning so whoever wins on Nov.22 gets a guaranteed BCS berth, and as much as I'd hate to see this game even close, this game worries me more than any other this season for the U. There's absolutely no logical reason it should even be close, but the same was true for UNLV last year. I hope I'm completely wrong. Hopefully the Utes avoid laying one of their typical mid-season eggs. Maybe K-whitt's got last year's supposed "guarantee of victory" by coach glenn on his players lockers again this year. Onside kick anyone?

perfect time for letdown

I am also very afraid of this game. Every season with coach whit, we have had let downs and this would be the perfect time. This game shouldn't be close......

Lights out

Looks like Wyoming can only score at War Memorial Stadium. All three shutouts mentioned in the article (Utah '07, BYU/UNM '08) happened on the road. This game will be in Laramie. No wonder "CowboyNationRules" is so optimistic. Wyoming WILL shock SLC, because in THIS game, they might actually SCORE!

Unbelieveable

So the first two comments were by a Cowboy (don't get me wrong, if you're a true Cowboy fan, which I think you are because you're up at 3:00 in the morning reading this stuff, you deserve to be here) and a Cougar. I didn't see BYU mentioned in the article. Why come bash? Don't you have anything else to get your day started then coming on to an article from a Utah newspaper and bash the team you hate? And if you hate them so much, why are you reading articles about them? Seems you're obsessed to me. As far as the Cowboy is concerned, the Utes will win. I don't doubt it. But if they lose, then obviously they're not the better team tomorrow. I'll give Wyoming props if they can pull out the upset. I don't think they will, but I will give props where props is due.

UtahMan

Not only will I admit Cowboy Nation Rules, but I will come up to your neck of the woods and ride a fight a bull if Wyoming wins. There is no way.

Perfect game...to rest starters

This is the perfect game to rest UofU starters and focus on experience building for 2nd and 3rd team players. Wyoming may actually score because Utah will be up 42 to 0 in the 3rd quarter and the game will finish 49-10.

Re: CowboyNationRules

Even if WY wins the game, which is not likely, that doesn't mean that "Cowboy Nation Rules". Wyoming fans are still a bunch of buzznackers with a less tasteful football program.

Rest starters - right!!

It will be important to rest starters since Misi had cortisone injections in his hip on Wednesday (his back up is a joke) and Newman is not only nursing a bad back but a bad ankle as well. Hopefully the Cowboys will be smart enough to pick up on these injuries and make the needed adjustments!!!!

Ute Fan

I agree this is the perfect game for 3rd, and (if Utah has any) 4th stringers. The backups play in every game. 45-3 Utes.

Gooooooooooooo Utes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laramie?

Not sure why Laramie is such a "tough" place to play. I've been to a game there...besides vulgar chants, it wasn't particularly loud. The stands are like HS stands (not in size, buy layout) in that they run right to the field...fans could reach out and touch players. But there wasn't anything that seemed particularly difficult about the place. Is it altitude? What's the big deal? Wyoming isn't any good. Shouldn't be that tough of a game. If it's closer than expected (shouldn't be any closer than 2 TDs) it'll be bc of weather and whatever anger wyo might have in them from last year's game, and a possible emotional letdown from last week. If all those items align, perhaps it'll be close in the 4th (14 points), but otherwise it ain't happening tomorrow, or at all this season for the pokies.

Cowboy Joe

Joe Glenn - "we've got a whale of a Utah team coming in here this weekend."

What, no guarantees for us this year Joe?

Cowboy Joe

Laramie is high.
The wind blows all the time.
There's nother here.
No wonder we play with a chip on our shoulders.

go cougars

Try not to onside kick it when your up 50 in the fourth quarter this time and maybe the Cowboy fans won't have a reason to be classless

re: go cougars

Wyoming fans don't need a reason to be classless....that is just what they are. I'm just wondering if they are going to finally score a point this game.....must be hard going 3 weeks without scoring a point. Hopefully Utah will extend that streak to 4 weeks..

cougars stink

Well, try not to guarantee a win and maybe the Utah coaches won't have reason to be classless.

I'm amazed that people are so quick to forget the classless guarantee by Joe Glenn that led to the classless onside kick.

The last thing we need around here is a BYU fan lecturing us on the evils of running up the score.....Hall throws to Pitta for a TD with 3:14 to play in the 3rd quarter while up 43, anyone?

Why am I even surprised? Y fans are masters of talking the high road while taking the lower road.

Re Go Cougars

Try not to make stupid comments on articles that aren't even about your team, then maybe Ute fans won't have reason to retaliate

Epitome of class

That's right cougars, you are the epitome of class...

cougar fans

As the Utes dispell all the demons from the last few years; wether they be the unlv game, whits on side kick or losing to the Y, will Couger fans ever shut it? I predict no. But for the life of me I can not figure out what the BYU fans will say when it is all said and done and the Utes have the conference trophy in one hand and an invite to another BCS in the other. But Then again at that point I will not care.

RE:go cougars.

I always laugh when BYU fans call other schools' fans classles. Shall we go over the list of BYU fan history? From my personal experience there was a BYU vs. Stetson Basketball game I only attended because my sister was performing at halftime. Ref made a call the coach didn't like with less than a minute left. Fans start freaking out and throwing things on the court and at the ref. Technical foul called on the crowd. Stetson makes the shots and wins the game. Or how about when BYU fans jump out of the stands and attack the Utah cheerleader...who won that fight by the way? Or maybe the fight in Las Vegas on the court and in the stands. Yup, you coogs sure have a rep for being classy.
