Go Karl Williams. If it's true he's at 100%, then I expect a HUGE game out of him. He's been hogtied by his pinched nerve in his foot the last few games and is ready to rumble. If he rushes for anywhere near 100 yards, Layton wins this one easy. I stick with my prediction earlier this week. Layton over Syracuse 26-9.

Keepin it REAL

Viewmont scored 13 on Syracuse, so the facts in the article are not right.

Good Job!!!

That would suck if my team was a just a contender to make the playoffs.

True Blue Layton Fan

Yup. Viewmont beat Syracuse 13-7.

to Good Job!

You must have missed the big word, "ALREADY". Syracuse was 0-10, all sophomores and juniors last year.....as it was a new high school. Remember, all new schools don't have seniors, at least in Davis County, that's the way it is.

I'm curious....is it that way in the rest of UT?

I'm no expert....

But I'm pretty sure 13 points is considered double figures. Is my math right or not?? Get a clue. Syracuse has beat one good team this year, and lost to a mediocre Viewmont team. The Lancers have beat Jordan, Davis, and Northridge. The only game that Layton lost was to the 38th ranked team in the Country. Layton 35 - Syracuse 7... and it might even be a shutout. I am a little scared...Syracuse DID beat Woodscross 14-0. And by the way this game tonight means nothing. Davis is going to beat Syracuse, and Layton will kill Viewmont and Weber. Layton is the Region One champs no matter what the outcome is tonight.

To: "I'm no expert"

Your right. You are no expert. I am a Hard Core Layton fan and I am worried about this syracuse team. I believe it will be a lot closer than most believe it will be. Layton has some experience players from last year, but Syracuse has 22 experienced players. Go Layton.

I believe when Weber High opened the seniors had a choice. I heard abouy 75% of went to Weber.

To "To: "I'm no expert""

Syracuse is the team that is coming into the game over confident. There coaches told them after the North Ridge game that they had nothing to worry about because Northridge is 3 times better than Layton. Look out Titans you are coming into Lancer Stadium, and just like every other Region one team over the past 2 years... You will get rolled by the Lancers. Layton 35 Syracuse 7

Robbers

Actually 21 experienced players because these kids robbed a tanning salon. Awesome. Blickfeldt shouldn't be playing cause he cant get rid of the smoking habit. Awesome

Layton Fan

Well Northridge did prove to be 3 times better than layton the night we played. just some bad breaks. And no one is giving northridges Defense Credit. This true blue guy says layton has the best offense he's ever seen, but how come they only scored 17 points on this so called mediocre defense Northridge has?

wait:to the expert

Jordan isn't that good this year, so wait, Syracuse has a better record then Jordan, Davis and Viewmont and now Northridge, I think Layton will win, but Syracuse is going to give a good game.

Northridge great defense?

Northridge actually has a good defense. It could be great if they were to rid themselves of a major crutch. Their secondary, one in particular, is killing them. This future Ute is getting burned by the most mediocre receivers. When you have a 145 lb quarter back run over a 190 lb, so called, D1 caliber athlete, something is wrong in the jello.

To Layton fan at 2:15 PM. Please find where I said Layton has the best offense I've ever seen. Don't recall saying it, unless I was having an out of body experience.

re: robber

As everyone is all AWARE there was 6 idiodic boys that robbed that happened to be Syracuse Hish School Students. They never even saw the locked room after that night back in the summer. PERIOD Let go of it because in every school there are kids doing drugs and being idiodic. It's about time to recognize the good that a lot of these boys do and have done. And the sportsman ship that most of them have. Every team has there problems and if you would not hide behind the robber i.d. and say who you are I can fill you in on the good that is being done by the SYRACUSE FOOTBALL TEAM!!!!!!!!!!
GO TITIANS!!!!!! You deserve every bit of credit for how well you have played this year and your coaches deserve credit also. To true blue Layton fan: Score was a bit tighted than you predicted but Layton is a great team and I enjoyed the game last night. Both teams have a great D. Cudo's to Karl and Thomas they were great!

re: robber

Yes, I spelled some words wrong but you get the picture.

True Blue Layton Fan

I agree....one of the consequences to those that got caught, is they lost their opportunity to play for one of the best teams in the state. He'll never forget that the rest of his life. Time will heal.

Yeah, closer that the 26-9 prediction I gave. I guess I thought Layton's offense was a bit more on track after running over Clearfield 34-0. Williams only played the 1st half & wasn't even used that much at RB at Clearfield. All I can hope for is that all the pistons are firing come playoffs. But I know BAtchelor and his coaches are taking this one game at a time. Nobody thought Weber would have the 2 wins they have right now....vs. the teams they beat.

I've been a Syracuse fan since their 0-10 inception year last year. I was hoping to see them do well this year, and it's coming to fruition. Go Titans. I hope you guys go deep into the playoffs.

RE: Robbers

Syracuse didn't get rolled like everyone thought. They played a good game and that second TD for layton Williams stepped out at least twice and wasn't called by the refs. I was in the very front of the syracuse stands. And by the way we do have 21 starters. The other one WAS NOT one of the idiots that robbed the places. The one is Mitch Tulane with a broken ankle, out for the rest of the season. Syracuse dominated! TITAN PRIDE!!!

stepped out?

Oh, so you want to start talking about refs. That was not a good officiating crew for sure! There were several questionable calls. But don't be talking about Williams stepping out. I suppose you sitting in the very front of the stands is just as good of a view as a ref looking right at the play.

Oh, what about a couple PI calls against Layton, especially the offensive PI call that called back a 40 yd pass play. There are several more, but really it doesn't matter.
