There seems to be a lot of comfort in stupidity, and tremendous strength in hate-mongering. All of the conservative (yes - conservative) influence that a ringing in your frustrated, raging minds hurts - especially you. I absolutely resent that the republican machination (you know - fear, lies, distortion, terrorists around every corner etc...) has operated primarily this way, and created a political climate suited only to dialogue like this! Much damage has been done (yes - particularly over the last eight years) but finally, the masses are shifting just enough to vote into office a man like Barack Obama (yes - this will be a good thing).

Let's hope Florida or Ohio steals another presidential election and McCain-Palin "wins." That's their only hope.

Florida - AlGore wanted to re-count only the votes in 4 heavily Democratic counties by - guess who - Democratic election workers, many of whom were "devining" the "intent" of the voters - see hanging chad, pregnant chad, etc. AlGore also wanted to disallow military votes that came in after the deadline and threatened legal action against any effort to eliminate votes by felons.

Ohio - Bush won here by a margin too wide for a re-count and by 3 million votes total.

If you want to see a fixed election, study up on the 2004 race for governor in the state of Washington where the Democrats rule and allowed recounts until their corrupt King County elections officer (an unabashed Democrat) could "discover" enough boxes of "lost" votes to give the Democrat the 129-vote win

If Obama wins, I predict a Civil War within 3 years. Millions like me refuse to live under a socialist system. You liberals want to sit around and whine while I keep working my butt off so I can pay more taxes? Forget it.

The voter fraud that ACORN is involved with?

Why is this important?

For starters, Obama paid ACORN, which has endorsed him for president, $800,000 to register new voters, payments his campaign failed to accurately report. (They were disguised in his FEC disclosure as payments to a front group called Citizen Services Inc. for "advance work.")

What's more, Obama worked as executive director of ACORN's voter-registration arm, Project Vote, in 1992. Joined by two other community organizers on Chicago's South Side, Obama conducted the voter-registration drive that helped elect Carol Moseley-Braun to the Senate that year.

The next year, 1993, Obama joined the civil-rights law firm Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland, where he sued the state of Illinois on behalf of ACORN to implement the federal "Motor Voter" law, which the GOP governor at the time refused to do. Then-Gov. Jim Edgar argued, presciently, that the Clinton law would invite voter fraud.

Don't worry about a civil war; just go ahead and secede from the Union. It'll be fun watching Utah turn into a third-world country. Sure hope the Bishop's Storehouse is full!

So ultimately, you will turn to sedition and treason if your side doesn't win.

Is that what your candidate is doing out on the stump these days? I thought it was just old fashioned racially motivated mobbery; a series of Sarah-get-your-pitchfork and light your torches rallies before marching on the home of Barak Obama (read: White House).

There are millions like you? Do me a favor will you? Activate the phone tree/email network and tell the millions like you to STOP FORWARDING ALL THAT HATE MAIL! You�re a discredit to sentient beings across the universe.

Actually, I am smart. I'm a university professor in Business. And I am opposed to Socialism. I will do my part to fight it as fervently as necessary.

And, I don't live in Utah. I live in a liberal state where we've already "reaped" the benefits of socialized living.

Take from the rich, give to the poor. Never worked. Never will.

I hope you didn't vote for Bush in the last two elections, he is anything but Conservative and has taken this nation further towards Socialism than any other President since FDR. Along the way, he also has essentially destroyed the GOP brand.

I agree that Bush has made many mistakes - I'm certainly not satisfied with him and McCain would not be my ideal choice either.

However, to protest the lack of a real conservative on the ballot by voting for someone even MORE liberal is just plain stupid. I am very concerned about a nation without checks and balances and the most liberal of the Democratic Party running the House, Senate and White House.

Gee, I don't know. To the government, I'm considered "rich" and they've never done a darn thing for me other than make it nearly impossible to own a small business with all of their corrupt and power-hungry pinheads they send non-stop to extort fees/bribes, etc.

Ever heard of the Alternative Minimum Tax? That was a great idea by the Democrats! Now those of us who make more than $50k can be "rich" - or at least pay taxes like the rich.

Meanwhile, I keep seeing folks at the grocery store using their food stamps to buy bottled artichoke spears and loading up their Honda Pilots. The poor live better here than in any other country. No one else would pay them so well to sit around yacking on their cell phones and watching Oprah. Gimme a break!

Civil War:

I would say it would be a revolution which is what the Declaration of Independence advocated when government becomes tyranny i.e socialitst.

The preamble to the Declaration of Independence includes an assertion that is known as the �right of revolution � that is, people have certain rights, and when a government violates these rights, the people have the right to "alter or abolish" that government.

Quoting from that document for the benefit of those who have never read it:

�whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.�

Obama as the agent of change with all his socialist goals could ignite the powder keg so to speak.

And how about all those "welfare queens" in their Cadilacs on Wall Street? They just pulled off the biggest heist in history, swindling taxpayers (our grandchildren even) out of $1 trillion. Talk about socialism, we are bailing out finiancial thugs who took millions in bonuses each year as they drove our economy into the ground. Oh, but you approve of corporate welfare, you know, taking from the poor masses to fill enrich the already wealthy and powerful, oh but this is the "invisible hand of the market." You "free marketers" and greedy businessmen are truly the biggest hypocrites.

I'm no Corporate fat cat and I didn't approve of the bailout, either.

I am a businessman and I don't consider myself greedy when I work about twice as much as the average person, have degrees from top schools, and have taken some risks to get where I'm at.

I don't know of very many small businessmen that are in favor of bigger government because government seems to be there to wield power, side with professional swindlers (who go around suing people for a living), pile on ridiculous restrictions, and extort money.

I'm by no means wealthy, but I do OK. I don't see why I shouldn't reap the rewards of my risk, investment and efforts.

I'm afraid we're going to over-react to the situation on Wall Street and elect socialists. The "super rich" will take their money and run (the Caymans?). So, the government, in its wisdom, will simply go after the next tier of people - that's me - to pay for all of their big ideas.

Meanwhile, the "poor," few of whom really know what it's like to work hard, will reap a few more benefits after the government takes its cut.
