He will be the next President by a landslide!
OBAMA!!!
Tom Brokaw won. Twice he chastised Obama for going over the time limit, but never complained about McCain directly. Guess we know who Tom is voting for.
The one thing I remember was Obama calling for the oil companies to return the 68 million acres of leases they were sitting on if they did not put them into production. Why do they want more? Are they stockpiling them?
"It's my proposal. It's not Sen. Obama's proposal, it's not President Bush's proposal,"~~
The additional 300 billion dollar home owner bailout on top of the 700 billion dollar Wall Street bailout will not get the votes McCain needs to win this election.
I don't like Obama but I better get used to the phrase President Obama.
Best of luck with 4 years of this mess.
/could it be that McCain doesn't want the job?
Someone, please, let obama know that the real reason for Americas, economical meltdown. Was caused by the corruption of our government, BANKING COMMISSION. Headed by the democrat, CHRIS DODD. Who by the way, received the most money, from Fanny Mae amd Freddi Mac. My hope would be that our FBI, will use our finest agents to bring these men to justice. Then and only then can JUSTICE BE SERVED!!! A word to the wise is sufficient.
Obama is the man! He took McCain to the cleaners. We need fresh ideas in Washington, and Obama has the leadership, judgement, wisdom, and knowledge to lead us to new heights. Go Obama!
Neither won this debate, It wasn't really much of a debate, both dodged questions and both pointed fingers. Either man will be insignificant. We have atleast another 4 years of crappy leadership no matter who wins.
McCain doesn't come across well at all. He gives the impression, and it's probably an accurate impression, that all he cares about is winning the election. Oh, he tries to make it look like he cares about the average American, but it isn't fooling the voters. What John McCain cares about is John McCain. The fat lady sang after that debate.
McCain is desperately promising anything to get elected. He is attacking Obama like he did Romney. The scariest thing is his shoot from the hip style with his new proposal to bail out bad mortgages, bring Palin on the ticket, go into Iraq rather than after Bin Laden, etc.
I for one have had enough swift boating and shooting from the hip in the white house. McCain is just an older version of Bush. I am ready for a steady hand, a thoughtful mind and a leader who is loyal to his wife.
The decision this year is clear. Go Barak Obama
Until we stop the Short Sales then we are not protecting the banks or the economy.
Reality: I am a Realtor and this IS what's happening today.
People are now taking advantage of the banks by selling their homes on a "Short Sale" to their friend. The homes sells for half it's value and a few months later they buy the home back from their friend for half the price they were obligated to originally.
If the government wants to protect the banks AND the people then they will disallow short sales. Protecting the people from foreclosure only hurts the bank and enables the people to have more power in a short sale. Some Realtors see this as an opportunity to make a lot of money. Convince the people to do a short sale. They never move out, there is no For Sale sign in their yard and they get the home for half price. This is nothing but dishonest.... but the banks allow it. Why?
If a bank allows a short sale then the bank should resell the home. The homeowner should move out. This would protect the bank and the economy. Oh wait, that would be a foreclosure.
Hey Utah,
Say hello to President Obama.
I don't care how bad people think McCain is. Why isn't anyone paying attention to the terrorist ties that Obama has. How he removed the flag from his airplane and replaced it with a symbol. Also, why doesn't he put his hand over his heart when the flag is being presented.
Scary if you ask me. He's CLEARLY NOT THE MAN for the White House.
Trillions of dollars lost? This is silly. When are we going to get back to the issues that matter, gay marriage, guns, and maybe some creationism?
Maybe the people are waking up, and seeing past all the nonsense on AM radio. Go Obama.
Obama for President!
maybe people are just sick of these stupid distractions and want to actually know what these two prepose to do. maybe your the one that needs to wake-up and smell the coffee burning and stop with these stupid attacks.
I was surprised to know that McCain has known all along how to fix the Social Security mess.
John, What have you been doing the last 26 years if you know how to fix it and it is easy to do?!
And all we have to do is appoint a committee and they will fix Medicare also!
The old fool has no real answers- just delusional fantasies. Oh, I almost forgot, and he's a maverik.
BILL GATES FOR PRESIDENT he already owns the world why not?
tried of a bunch of kids in a men's bodies nit picking at each other.
It's just politics. There is no leadership from either of these men. Obama's push for change is just more of the same old stuff, the same games, meaningless rhetoric. As for McCain, please, he doesn't have a clue.
Will we ever find a true leader in America?
Note to the APO (Associated Press, Obama): This is not the "worst economic crisis in 80 years" nor is it anywhere close to it. It's not surprising the liberals at the AP would forget the "stagflation" of the Carter years, where both the interest and inflation rates were twice as high as they are today.
Is it too much to ask that journalists at least try to pretend they're impartial during an election year?
This was a very lame debate filled with lame questions. Is there some sort of agreement where no one is every allowed to ask about issues like gun control or illegal immigration? I find it fascinating that these issues don't exist unless you listen to Spanish-speaking media.
When the party against nation building becomes the party for nation building,
when the party of peace through strength becomes the the party of preemptive war,
when the party of fiscal responsibility becomes the party of massive debt,
when the party of free markets becomes the party of socialism,
when the party of small government becomes the party of big government,
when the party of individual liberty becomes the party of surveillance,
and when the party of religious liberty becomes the party of religious pandering,
then that party deserves to lose.
