The city can't come up with the money to at least build the police department a new building or rent one in better condition, but it can afford to build a brand new facility, way out on the west side, for a department that does not need new facilities! I cannot believe this city!
The shops are not cramped and you can have any administrator say otherwise but go take a look, they are fine. Also, a lot of the repair work, body work and other services are farmed out to private companies. This is purely a push by the administrators in the shops to have nicer offices. Dont waste your money SLC. Say no to the bonds.
WOW! $32 million? What's wrong with using private business for repairs. My 2-car garage doesn't have sheetrock or insulation either and was probably a couple thousand and I can store 2-cars.
Again, I ask $32 million? With the economic crunch we are in?
