Having cell phone service in the park would be a great safety net for people who get lost or injured. If others require solitude they can leave the cell phone at home. It is as simple as that.

Destroy solitude?

If you want your own solitude leave your own cell phone home.

It's not my own cellphone I'm worried about...it's all the 'yakkers' who would be all over the park destroying the solitude.

Some people cannot put leave their cell phone down for even a minute. They feel the need to talk constantly at the top of their lungs, no matter where they are.

One of those 'yakkers' may be first on the scene of a traffic accident, brush fire, fallen hiker, heart attack or other medical emergency, now they will be able to call for help instead of just having to wait or leave the injured person to run for help!

And so many people have a PROBLEM with this?
