Ok i dont know who you think you are but... yeah bingham did get beat by skyline in the first week... skyline is a new team this year and they played amazingly that week... and if you have watched or even read about any of binghams recent games you would know that they have grown so much as a team since the first week...

i am not saying that Timpview is not a good team but seriously if Alta Played timpview we all know Alta would win by at least 20...

Timpview is a very good team but there is no way they could ever compete with Bingham, or Alta

I agree with you one hundred percent on your comment from the top 5 rankings article. Its like that in all sports though. Most of the time the super bowl, nba finals, and everything else is a let down. Semi-Finals are usually better. This was the case in the 5A Basketball and Football last year. 5A is very interesting this year. There is no power house team; Alta being the only team that looks remotely at a higher level. I believe way too many people are over looking Bingham. They obviously just had a slow start. This is the year of the upset. I'm thinking a region one team or Pleasant Grove will be in the finals with Alta or Bingham. I am a total believer in 5A being supreme in football, but 4A might have the edge this year.

All you idiots dissing Timpview haven't seen them play. I coach at PG and have seen them first hand. The strength of their team is the o-line and d-line (where 90% of games are won or lost)and they are some of the best I've ever seen. They beat us 10-6 in the first game of the season, but I would love another crack at them.

The comment about the corners is right on. You need to include the safety who is slow and afraid to hit someone. If you can throw you can beat Dixie. If you can figure out a way to stop Ence you can beat PV.

Timp Wong/gimps play a cupcake schedule to fatten their argument in the polls....why chance getting beat by Alta, Bingham, or Layton when you can have easy wins against teams that almost sound just as close Altamont, Beaver, and Layton Christian! Hey Wong.....I hear Tabiona has a pre-season opening for next year? You can beat them for sure as they only play 7 men on their side of the line!

Everyone who thinks these rankings are unfair is exactly right. MANTI should be ranked easy!! We would dominate any 3A team on that list. How dare D-News not rank our greatness. We will take state so easily in 2A this year, then go Dominate 3A, they will have no choice but to write about us. And always regret they didnt see it coming.MANTI is number one, they always have been and always will be. Period. End of story. RANK US!!!!

We all know that Timpview would beat Alta by the score of 7,899 to -7. We'd have our back ups in the 3rd quarter and our Math and Spanish Club in for mop up time in the 4th.

You can't even get bast Juab in 2A- what makes you think that you are going to do any better against Judge, and Juan Diego, and Park City and Wasatch, and Ben Lomand, for that matter, in 3A.

Timpview has beaten 3 5A teams this year; PG is a good, maybe even a quarter/semi final team. LP an above average 5A team. SF, who knows, they lost to Hunter and it wasn't even close and Hunter is average at best. TV plays maybe 2-3 hard games all year(including playoffs). The other 8-10 are total cake walks. The only 4A team that has a chance is Cottonwood, and that is unlikely. If they were 5A, they would have to play at least 5-7 teams close to PGs talent and somewhere along the way, they would loose. Wong wanted the record, why else would he reject an Alta game, or an out of state team. Bingham is playing Trinity (#1 in most national HS polls) in the new Cowboys stadium next year. Jordan, Northridge, Alta, Bingham and several Region 1 teams play a lot tougher schedules. I am not saying all 5A teams could beat all 4A teams, I am just saying it is harder. 24-13 in favor of 5A this year, and not many of the elite 5A teams even played 4A teams. The 5A vs. 4A all-star games have been complete disasters for 4A

Wow TV you sure are tough... Who have you played that's worth mentioning? Do you schedule out of state games with tough teams? God know's you won't even accept our offer to play for the last 2 years. Another thing. I think you're a good team but if Alta recruited then we'd be better too. On another note to everyone else that want's to knock Bingham... They lost to Skyline and Alta. Were not going to debate that. However they were missing some players against Skyline. Bingham is the better team between the 2 of them by a long shot. Skyline fans, your team sucks deal with it. 45-24 with our 2nds playing almost half the game...

You are Funny Girl, I am a fan of neither of the above teams. You state that Bingham has grown since week 1, I agree with you and that means they are much better today than when Alta Played them in week 2 with your reasoning and I agree with that also. I do disagree with Alta Beating TV by 20, Have you seen TV play? I have seen Alta and TV and TV would beat Alta. Not by 20 but they would win, I believe that Bingham would also Beat Alta and Skyline if they played right now. Bingham is the best Team in 5A right now and should win the Championship unless they melt down again like they did against Alta in Game 2.

If East can score 40 then they deserve to Beat CW this week. They won't score 40. CW will not play as bad this week as they did against Highland. 5 Turnovers and you still win the game easily, If I were East I would see how I could lose my last 2 games to take 3rd in region to get in an easier bracket after the Beatdown at CW this Friday Night.
You think the Pineview Beating was bad, wait until this Friday when something is actually on the line and CW is at Home. CW 45 East 14

The Titans will get knocked out by Layton. Expect a huge let down from Syracuse. They played well enough to beat Northridge. But Northridge has struggled all year on defense and the offense must be slumping.

I know the 'Cuse has a lot of experience on their side and will compete for 2nd in region, but Layton is coached well and has the players to win it all again this year.

I am not a Layton fan, but in fact a Davis Alum who can see a disaster for Syracuse on Friday.

With Layton and Syracuse taking first and second. It could be a log-jam for 3rd in region 1. I hope Davis can beat Syracuse, but Davis is too unpredictable on offense to make any guarantees. After all they did get beat by Weber.

.....SHHHHHhhhhhhhh" So, according to you, 5A teams MUST beat an out-of-state team while your precious Thunderchickens don't have to do the same. Until they have the nerve to play one of the top teams in 5A or a good out-of-state team, you can TALK all you want but your team hasn't proven anything. Bingham, Fremont and Alta did beat teams from Hawaii and California last year.
If 4A is so good they'd win the 4A/5A All-Star Game. In the last game, 4A couldn't compete and one of your "stars" started a fight when he couldn't take the humiliation of being showed who the REAL power players in Utah are.

You are taking a bunch oif guys who have not played together and have no chemistry. Look at the stats.

Not one Timpview FB player is the number #1 at anything. But as a team, it's a different story.

The poster that keeps saying "timpwhimps" is a complete loser and should go back to their videogames. What a great thing these "anonymous" boards, eh? Everyone all of a sudden becomes very brave.

I think Timpview could beat BYU....why stop there....they are better than NFL teams.

In a year that we have our own BYU and Utah geting national attention and looking to break in to the bcs possibly the title game we cannot look to a 2A team that is undefeated??? Come on now people this Juab team has crushed its opponents, it face another undefeated team in Manti last week to win 42-21. This is no normal 2a team, we are the real deal, im glad we are moving to 3a next year to get some competition and be able to play some bigger schools. SO i beg of you to look at the times and realize its not about having the fastest or biggest players its about executing football at a high level and i guarantee there are not 25 teams in this state that could hang with the wasps

You have got to be kidding if you think that Sky View having Lundberg at QB is in anyway close to what they are with Carlsen?? Besides the fact that Lundberg can play receiver and having the right side of their O- line out I think they did just fine against Highland. None of it matters though until the playoffs! :)

Skyview got handled by Highland who gave Logan the game down there via 4 fumbles... Skyview/Highland wasn't even as close as the 27-21 score indicated. If you want to make up excuses, Highland was missing a starting WR and OL, and 3 Defensive starters. Highland would beat both Logan and Skyview 8 out of 10 times on a neutral field. Bring on anyone from Utah. Highland like Alta, went toe to toe with Grant Union from Sacramento, and other than Timpview, them, and Cottonwood, every other team in Utah would get ROLLED by those cats! Deal with your loss Skyview, just like Highland dealt with their embarrassing loss to Logan 38-33. You had NO ANSWER for Taysom Hill...

I don't think Timpview needs to be patting themselves on their backs. It seems that Deseret News rankings and Rivals Top 20 rankings are doing that for us......we gracefully accept.

But at the same time, Id like to take this moment to pat Coach Les Hamilton on the back. Despite only having a couple of DII or NAIA walk-on caliber players, he has put together one "heckuva" (I love that Utah word) team.

They may even get to play in the Semi finals against Pleasant Grove. They'll lose 21 - 7 though.

So the last TWO years when Sky View thumped you what was the problem then? Logan beat you this year and it could have been by another score but they took a knee. So live in your dream world but if Sky View had their QB you would have lost last week. Timpview, Cottonwood, Pine View, Alta, Bingham...........I could type 25-30 Utah teams that would beat you. You have one very good player period!

All you Manti people, get off the board and all you Alta, Bingham, and TV fans, shut up! obviously TV isn't bad.. I mean, they do have a 29 game winning streak. no one knows who is better, whether it be TV being scared or Alta being scared, we will never know! SO SHUT UP!!! Yeah everyone wants them to play but all in all it is the coaches that decide that. From what I've seen, TV would win a close game maybe overtime but still we will never know! At least not this year so quit complaining about it! You just make everybody mad! Ask the Spanish Fork coach. He did play both of them, he isn't going to lie to you! JUST STOP! Furthermore, Coach Les Hamilton took those D2, NAIA and Jr. College caliber players and ran up and down, over the top and through all those D1 caliber players during the 4A vs 5A All Star game. What was that score again??? oh ya, 35 to 0. and that was only 3 quarters since they had to call the game because the D1 Caliber players got so frustrated they had to start street fighting.....

Good luck Dixie in trying to stop the Panther rushing attack, which is currently leading the state. Ence averages over 150 yards a game rushing and has scored 18 TD's. Meanwhile Hafoka averages about 100 yards rushing a game as well. Truth is Ence and Hafoka have not been stopped by anybody, including Cottonwood, against whom they both rushed for over 100 yards. The fact is that the Pine View offensive line is big, strong, and well coached. It appears they can run the ball on anybody, including Dixie.
