im kind of new to the usa and when i was in language classes they taught me that the word positive was defined as such, a: having a good effect : favorable b: marked by optimism ...obviously this is not the case because having watched the university of utah play football so far i would say they are less then impressive. Can you please clarify this anomaly in the english language??
define positive please? 1:42...

Nice try, cougar fan.
Wyoming should stick it to Utah this week, for Utah's abominable behavior last year; unfortunately, I don't think Wyoming can beat anybody. They can't pass, so all they can do is run, and Utah will probably stuff that. Too bad, would have loved to see Wyoming upset the Utes --they really do deserve to be upset and humiliated by a really bad team like Wyoming.
WOW. the first post here is hate mail from kewger fan. so much insecurity. need a definition of that big word ?
Not sure how to do define positive so that the mind of a person who wrote blog at 1:42AM would understand.
At 1:42AM, normal people would be deep in their sleep --BYU fans probably would be dreaming their team come to SLC on 11/22 and beat Utah...
Utah's defensive tackles are extremely undersized (they are even on the small side for DE). It is amazing they are playing so well. You would think teams would just start mowing over them. Good coaching and good effort by the players. But then again, Utah hasn't played anybody that has a decent O-line or a good running attack...right byu fans?
every games we have played our Defensive unit doing awesome job. also thanks to gary anderson for make such great effort...another thing we still need to improve on our secondary..like game against the OSU..we had hard time stoping pass offensive i think if we can do that then we will have great D unit.
Should we remind you that BYU completely embarrassed UCLA 59-0 this year?
After being up 42-0 in the 3rd quarter, similar to Utah being up 43-0 in the 3rd quarter, BYU continues to throw touchdown passes...
Yet, the difference is, the UCLA coach didn't come onto BYU's campus and guarantee a victory...
Everyone knows you don't kick onside kicks being up 43-0, just like you dont continue to throw the ball being up 42-0...unless you are the type of person that thinks it is ok as long as it is still in the 3rd quarter, which both teams were...
Seems like Utah and BYU fans like to point out different points when they talk about each team's blowout victories, yet they were pretty much equal if you look at it through an unbiased view...
No offense, but could the majority of the Utah players do themselves and our school a favor and maybe get a haircut or shave or both? It is embarrassing that our players look so sloppy and unkept. Does Asiata really need those long ugly braids hanging out the back of his helmet? And I thought Paul Kruger was a returned missionary. He looks like a bum. He deserves to look like the awesome player he is and his scraggly appearance takes away from his talent, no offense. have some self respect, guys, and look like the winners you are!
BYU had their second string in against UCLA the entire second half. Utah still had their starters in. Plus, they kicked an onside kick. Kyle had to prove what a big tough guy he was. That is the difference between class and no class. It should be pretty evident by now which team is which. One word for you, big bad Kyle--KARMA. Good luck with that!
Utah has a very good run defense .. period. I am a BYU fan and I have to say that Utah has the best shot at winning the conference with both TCU and BYU at home. BYU has the best overall team but home field is huge especially with a defense like Utah's. I will say that Utah was VERY lucky to win the Oregon State game. Oregon State shot them selves in the foot with poor clock management but hey... they still lost the game and Utah won with is all that matters.
To the person who thinks that the Utah players need to clean up? Please stop talking right now. Sorry that they go to a university where expressing yourself is allowed. I'm sorry that BYU treats you like elementary school students, and i don't really care that you choose to support the school. But in a forum talking about Utah's defense, please leave your opinions about personal choices like appearance out of it. GROW UP! There is a world outside of Provo.
