He ought to take advantage of spending some minutes at the two. He could work with Hornacek and get comfortable with the position. Put the ball up and raise his scoring average. He's got the capability to be a deadly outside shooter. Once he can do that with ease, and whenever he wants, he truly is unstoppable.

The Jazz already have a logjam at the two and three. Adding another player to that mix doesn't make sense.

That's a stupid notion, putting D-will at the two. They never played Stockton at the two. Why would they? He was an all-star point guard. Deron is arguable THE best point guard in the league, why move him? And we've got what, four shooting guards? Sloan baffles me sometimes. I think he likes pissing off his players.

Evidently some people have poor reading comprehension. Sloan said "when facing smaller opponent guard lines". How often will this really happen? Wow people go easy.

Sloan would simply be exploiting a matchup opportunity if it plays out that way. Its not like Knight/Price are going to get all D-Wills minutes or something.

Deron is lights out from 3 when he gets his feet set--actually shoots a BETTER % than our 2 guards, especially Brewer. If it helps the team here or there why not? Sloan would have 2 excellent ball handlers on the floor plus a better 3 point shooter. Whats not to like?

Also, listing AK as a 2 guard is a stretch. He is actually a PF wannabe in a SF body. We really only have Brewer, Korver, and CJ at the two. Is that really such a huge logjam? (Almond does not count because he can't defend worth beans).

The reason everyone keeps going on about how deep we are at all these positions is because our franchise TEACHES players to be able to play another position besides their own so every time somebody blabs about this they add 2 guys that naturally play other positions.

There is no need to worry about dwill moving to the 2. If you remember there were times last year when williams and price played together. We might see that a little bit this year, but there is no way dwill will be considered a 2

Hey, if Jerry Sloan wants this prima donna to play the 2 guard to help the team, he should keep quiet and do what he is told. This is a team game and players have to stop thinking of themselves. If we wanted players like that, I'm sure we could get Iverson or Carmello Anthony.

D-Will is an amazing PG but if he can play the two effectively against a smaller lineup then I'm all for it. With Price/Knight AND Williams out there the ball handling would be excellent. AND Deron wouldn't be spending as much energy. It's an intriguing idea.

Hmmm, logjam at the 2. Let's play our existing 1s at the 2! That makes absolutely no sense. Could someone tell me where this logic is coming from?

Moto X, the reason the Jazz shouldn't play Deron at the 2 is because it is hard to find a guy you can trust to be the primary ballhandler. I barely trust our backups to hold the ball for the 8 minutes that Deron is not. If we had a dynamite, up and coming 2-guard (like the Andre Miller-Louis Williams situation in Philly), it might make sense. Unfortunately, we have a journeyman (Knight) and an undersized 2-guard (Price) as our backups at the point, which is barely enough.

First read the article, before you comment? Sloan is just thinking about letting D-will play the two if another team have a small line-up? So everybody just chill for a minute, it really wouldn't be that bad against denver or even clippers, d-will backing down Iverson LOL, an BTW stockton did play the 2 before when Jeff malone was on the team, if you guys didn't remember?

BREVIN KNIGHT was 2ND BEST IN THE ENTIRE NBA last season with A 4.62 ASSIST TO TURNOVER RATIO!!!

There is a reason Deron himself said he is glad to have Brevin here and can learn some things from him. IF D-Will has a weakness it is his turnovers. Brevin can and does take care of the ball. Maybe not alot else but he can do that.

Like I said in my first post. The reason to use Deron at the 2 in LIMITED SITUATIONS/MATCHUPS is 1. more ball handling on the floor and 2. he is just as good or BETTER 3 point shooter than anyone on the team.

Check the %'s this time before you make another inacurrate statement like you did about Brevin not being able to take care of the ball. Actually never mind checking, I already did. D-Will was the best 3 point shooter on the team last season. .395%

I'll give you this: Knight is a quality veteran. I didn't accuse him of having a poor assist to turnover ratio. I accused him of being a journeyman.

Besides, being a quality journeyman has not always proven to be an automatic fit into the Jazz system. Also, Knight is already getting injured early in the season. Another factoid: over 10 years, Knight has only played in over 70 games twice in his career. He's almost 33 and not getting any younger.

Did I ever question Williams' ability to hit 3s? I don't ever recall doing so. He's an excellent 3 point shooter, but just because Memo is good at 3s doesn't mean we should start him at the 2. When you have such an awesome ability such as Williams' court vision and ability to read and react, why would you waste a perfectly good skill by throwing him out of position for a guy you haven't even seen play a single game in a Jazz uniform? Besides, Williams is a tall 1 and a short 2, and his percentage would probably suffer against the taller 2-guards he'd go up against.

who cares about Brevin Knight, Ronnie Price is going to get the back up job. and i'm pretty sure he proved himself last year. P.S. RJ loves him like his own child
