Learned for everyone, don't give another team motivation to play harder! I think in the NFL they call it chalk board material. Every coach at every level will use anything and everything they can to help motivate their players a little more.

Wow the defense only gave up 24 total yards? That is just sick!

Brighton's sophomore team and their coach set the Varsity up. Alta stomped a hole in the heart of Brightons defense for 45 points and then shut out their offense.. Next time you guys want to paint an opponents field orange and dance on their logo it better be your own..

Like Alta needed any extra Motivation to beat a bad Brighton team this year. If they were truely that upset about the painting of the field and stopming on your logo then it would have been 60-0 at half. Alta is a great team and should have dominated more than the score shows. I am neither an Alta fan or Brighton Fan. Just 2 teams going in very opposite directions right now, and how bad is your Sophomore Team to lose to Brighton? Are things starting to slip at Alta after this year?

Seriously do you know anything about football? High school football is the purest form of football and in being pure there a learning experiences for everyone each week. A loss isn't a sign of anything any form of a slip not to mention a program starting to slip. Seriously sophomores right now aren't even going to realize their true potential until they have started spring training for their junior years! That is when the true potential is discovered not to be confused with over hyped potential during the sophomore year.

Also since your not a fan of either team which are you a fan of? So we can all compare how your teams sophomores are performing!

RE Big Deal, Just so you know we pulled our starters early in the 3rd quarter so the score looks just fine to me.

Too bad alta won't play Timpview, the supposed mighty hawks would take a whipping like Brighton took last night.

Trust me. Coaches keep their eyes out on the Soph & JV teams and how they're doing. If the soph team is getting killed every game, it gets notice.

Why does everyone think that a touchdown is a thrashing, killing or some other stupid word to make it sound like a team sucks. Seriously 45 to nothing is getting killed! 24 yards of TOTAL offense is getting demoralized!

Having the ball to tie the game and turning it over on a mistake in the last minute of the game isn't getting killed! Alta's Sophies and JV are just fine many of these kids are getting experience beyond their years. Just like the Bingham kids thats a sign of a true program, moving younger kids up so they are contributing on varsity before they are seniors!

If you don't know what your talking about keep your mouth shut!

alta is #2.. HA HA HA

alta owned us. we could not move the ball on offense and could not even come close to stopping their offense. Alta is by far the best looking team we have played and i expect them to win state. When they can get a first down on 4th and 28 thats when you know you are bad. I hope the Bengals can beat hillcrest, but expect things to be different next year and brighton will be very good and hopefully in the hunt for the state title... just a little update, no one from Brighton or everyone of my friends and all of the football players has any idea who painted the B. and i am mad about it, it was a stupid classless thing to do.

We need a QB to win with the Sophomores

I would guess it was some idiot that painted the B on our new field. We know that your school has more class than that, it was your sophomore coach not stopping his players that set us off. Each of your varsity players can thank him personally for the beating your players took on the field Friday night. Did anyone from the varsity coaching staff call to apologize for what he allowed to happen on Thursday? I would hope you had enough class to do that too? Did anyone call to apologize for the students that painted the B on the field? We all know the coaches didnt paint the field.

Alta's JV team isn't dominate like the varsity and the sophmore team is just bad.
Can't anyone see what Hamilton is doing. He's been positioning himself for a better job for the last 2 years. He inherited good players (Urban Meyers) and he's in trouble next year and the year after. He knows it and is tying to get out of Alta while his stock is over rated. Haven't you heard his interviews the last 18 months.
I would love to see what he can do with the JV and Soph team. That will tell if he is a good coach or not.

Its easy for good players to make a good coach.

Our Sophs, JV and Varsity are all undefeated still, Something Alta Can't say. Your Fooling yourself if you don't think those Soph games matter, And to lose to Brighton of all teams. I must have hit a Nerve about your Soph team, does your Son play on the Soph team that got Beat? Good Luck the rest of the way as they will need it after Losing to Brighon Sophs. It won't be Hard to Figure out what team I support when you look at how many undefeated teams are left in the state.

The Coaches won't call, they are as classless as the kids who did all the damage to your field. We had the same experience to our Field at Cottonwood last spring from some Murry Kids, we caught them and they paid for it. I mean how dumb do you have to be to put a B on the Field. Brighton is going downhill fast and I for one am amazed they have not fired all the Coaches and started over. When will the Nightmare end for those poor Boys at Brighton

We all love what you do and what you have done to bring Alta back to the top. Thanks for putting together one of the very best varsity coaching staffs out there. Our coaches are all top notched. Look who he just added to the staff. Can you say Luke as in BYU Luke

The facts are that if you're cheering for Timpview you haven't played anyone of mention!!!!! First of all, secondly the best sophie team in the state is clearly Binghams!!! Peck wouldn't say something like that if he wasn't serious or his credibility would go down!!! Oh and by the way Binghams sophie program hasn't lost a game in 8+ years!!!! So sophie wins and loses don't mean a thing or bingham would have 8+ championships in a row!!!

There's a huge difference between 4A and 5A bud!!! As all your players have learned in the all star game the last two years!! You are the raining champ the last two years righ? Thats what I thought! Welcome to 5A was the quote that sent your hot headed players over the top!

Seriously undefeated is nice and all but I think the championship is more important and the level at which you have to compete to win that championship!! I have no respect for Timpviews record until they play someone that is tuff!!!! It doesn't even have to be a Utah team just play someone that has a winning program, besides cottonwood!!!

About the Alta Sophs or JV or varsity probably for that matter. If you had you wouldn't be talking out your back end!!!! I don't even think the Alta JV lost to Binghams JV, and if they didn't they are still undefeated this year and posting 40+ points a game! Not to mention there are a handful of solid juniors contributing on varsity and they don't play JV! So again sophie and JV wins don't equate to championships!!!! To build a program you have to have more than 15 guys that can play day in and day out. That's what Alta is doing and that's why Hamilton doesn't have to worry about if he never gets a job in California, Texas or any other state that actually pays it's coaches!

Finally Urban Meyer wasn't the coach at Alta so he didn't inherit a thing!!!!! That state championship team were sophies when Les took over, had he inherited anything he would have won the state championship earlier!

Wrong again. Bingham sophs lost 4 years ago to Brighton in the pre-season.
