WAY TO GO HUNTER HIGH!!!!
BIG WIN Hunter. Got a lot of work ahead of you to stay sharp. To many turnovers. But Coach Pearce will take care of that. The Defense looked very good. The Copperhills QB will be feeling every hit he took and he took plenty of them. Offense looked good too, but still has to work hard to improve. Gutsy call Coach Pearce on the 4 and goal. Coach Cummings your special teams ROCK!! Keep working hard Hunter. Still alot of noise to make in region play. Great TEAM WIN Guys!!!!
Good effort by the kids, tuff loss for the team and predictable results from the coaches.
Yea you're a ton better than you were last year! Talk is cheap and you should keep quiet till you can prove yourself on the gridiron!
The door is closing quickly for the CHHS team this year. After a good start in preseason the team has fallen to start region play in the cellar. What can or should be done to lift this team and put them on the fast track to the playoffs? It appears that the players are putting everything they have into the game. The fans have continued to support them in all that they do. The community has put support behind them. What is the missing key? CHHS players have put forth the effort and sacrifices required to improve their skill level. CHHS administration, take a hard look at this struggling program and determine what changes may be required to help improve this team in the future. Players, keep putting in the effort and hopefully a few breaks will go your way and that window for the play-offs will become open once again. Good Luck
You just called out the administration and they aren't even athletically minded! That position is one of the worst head coaching spots in 5A! Seriously the parents think they know everything, the players try to compare themselves to the previous years players and there is no tradition and never will be!!!!! The 2000 Boys BBall team was a fluke and they got lucky and ever since then the community thinks they are the best at everything! Hate to break to you guys but your not!!!
Pride always comes before the fall!!!! Those teams that are really good know they are good, and they don't need to say anything about it because they prove it on the field!!!!
Layton of course is the exception but they will get shut up again in the playoffs this year as well!lol
Seriously though a sign of a great program is when the progam goes about practice, and games in a business like manner! Doing the job day in and day out for the fullfillment of their dreams of taking home a state championship. Those players that gab all day on the blogs really aren't staying focused and won't fully experience the true gratification of doing it the right way.
RE: Play-off door closing
Hey Warming up in the pre-season with a bunch of pathetic teams hardly puts you on track for the play-offs. "OH BUT WAIT", in CHHS defense, they usually make the playoffs (past) with only "3" Regional wins anyway. That possibility will explain the mental status of the CHHS following. We should never ask the question. What is the problem with CHHS? When the answer is so obviously right in front of our faces.. Let the head coach go on to destroy another HS. The only reason CHHS is horrible, is because of its leadership. The only conclusion to the statement that the parents appear to be the problem is because they have no leadership to lead their young athletes in any sport at that school.
That none of the CHHS players are posting this week. Maybe this type of focus will help them on the field!
you people are sick- you're all just a bunch of saturday morning quarterbacks with nothing better to do then trash a school or it's sports programs- grow up!
Hunter deserved this win!!! unlike most of them, they played hard and they kicked trash!!! we could tell throughout the week that they were off to a good start!!!
GO HUNTER!!!!!!!!!
