Thanks for playin highland! Too bad we dominated you on both sides of the ball! Better luck next time
Cottonwood totally Dominated Highland last night and the score is not indicative of how much their defense dominated the "1 Dimensional" offense of the Rams. Cottonwoods defense impressed me and it seemed like Cottonwood threw the ball where ever they wanted too as well. Highland will most likely take third now in region and they have alot of searching to do because Cottonwood layed it on em last night. Go Rams!! Ram Heart!
The Cottonwood Defense was Awesome last night. They stepped up and did their job plus more. Rams relied on certain players to step up, but obviously that didn't matter cause Colt offense and defense put a stop to their key players. Way to go Colts! Looking forward to next weeks game against East... I watched you leave school solemn and humble. You came on the field solemn and humble. You shut them down. Then the same way you came in, you left solemn and humble. What a great team and also what great coaches! You guys didn't gloat on your victory. Yet I know in your hearts you guys were smiling. What a great and humble team! Thanks to the Cottonwood Football Coaches for all your hardwork and for teaching your players about respect and how to keep a cool head on the field. Go Colts!!!!
i agree that the teams that rely solely on the run will NEVER be championship quality teams (this means Highland, East, as well as teams like Park City).
I don't understand why these teams when they play horrible teams and are up by 3 touchdowns, why they don't THROW the ball just to at least to practice and develop.
These teams will ALWAYS lose whenever they play a balanced team (Timpview, Cottonwood, ect).
Your offensive blunders being attributed to Cottonwood's defense is far from it? I beg to differ. Even if there is bad play calling and penalties who has to capitalize on that? Cottonwood's defense. Our D only allowed ONE touchdown (the other two were fumble recoveries for touchdowns). I don't care what you say about that I call it dominate defense. Also, of course if you take away one teams big plays and their touchdowns its a close one.......Duh. And finally you will never have an effective passing game, it's just not your teams style. Your QB plays best as a runner. Just how it is. I will give you this at least your "AMAZING" defense contained ONE player, Isi. Oh wait didn't he bust a 52 yard screen pass for a touchdown?
Without those 5 turnovers and the score is ever worse. 42-7. You need to get some rest and quit day dreaming about how great Ram nation is. They are an OK Team. They might win one playoff game and then it home for the Holidays.
Oh and I forgot I have to give props to Romero. I was impressed that he didn't let the 3 picks and 2 fumbles get to his head and then passed for 4 TD's and ran for a LONG TD.
is the deodorant that covers up all the stink at cottonwood !!!
I graduated last year from Cottonwood and still love the football games. Unfortunately I am unable to attend because I am going to school far away. I am very proud of you boys!! Stay humble and keep playing the way you are playing! You guys are great this year! Keep up the good work! Good luck at East! I am going to try and make this game. GO COLTS!!!! :) love you boys!!! ;)
P.S. good coaching coaches. Keep them humble and playin great!!! :)
No im sorry but the officiating went both ways, highland desereved their penalties and played with way too much anger, highland is lucky that the multiple pass interference and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties were not called or this game would have been blown out of the water. Stop blaming the coaches because im pretty sure they know much more than you about football so no more excuses. Oh and highland never had a chance, this was for sure romero's worst game and it was still lopsided. Have fun with 3rd place in region.
I was at the game and there was no dominance by either team. I have seen Highland play several times this season and their style defensively is to pressure and play a tight man to man defense with their secondary. Cottonwood did very little offensively except hit some big plays to take advantage of what Highland gave them. Just a good coaching job. Highland probably made a mistake to play this way but they have been very successful against weaker opponents playing this way. I'm sure being the good coaches they are they will make the needed adjustments. Both teams have talent but neither was particularly impressive. What happens to Cottonwood if they have to grind it out and don't get the big plays? We will have to wait until the playoffs to see.
don't throw your shoulders out patting yourselfs on the back
I guess you must have seen a different Cottonwood team on the field than I did. The team I saw was far from solemn and humble. The team I saw received 2 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and a flagrant facemask penalty late in the 4th quarter after they knew they had the game won. Hopefully the Cwood coaches can teach them that it takes more than winning to be a champion. Highland may have lost on the scoreboard, but they played with heart and they lost with dignity. My hat's off to the Ram coaches for teaching the team respect and dignity.
Are you Nuts, Highland had just as many unsportsman penalities as CWood did. They were probably more penalized than Cwood. I for one thought the refs were bad on both sides of the ball for each team. Both of these teams deserved better refs than what they got last night. One of the refs looked like he was going to kill over from being so overweight, how can you possibly call plays being that immobile.
We Won't, as you can see we have Big strong shoulders that hurt when we hit other people.
that Cottonwood's first touchdown was an illegal play. They threw it deep to an ineligable takle. And if he was then there weren't enough players on the line of scrimmage.
You have NEVER won a state championship and even with all your recruiting, you never will.
hahaha u lost, take third place... don't dwell on the past. haha
Did you also notice that he lined up as a tight end not a Tackle. The Kid who caught the TD pass is a Receiver not a Lineman. Look again it was a legal play. Just accept 3rd place in Region and quit complaining about Losing again.
And you have? You are the Chump since you can't beat Cwood and are obviously jealous of their dominant season this year. Have fun being eliminated in the first round again this year
