I am glad Joe Biden said that his heart was full of love and pride as they prepared his son to leave for an assignment in Iraq, and his unit leaves Sunday for Fort Bliss, Texas, where it will train for about six weeks before heading to Iraq. However, how "touchie feelie" it sounds, when your the son of Sen. Biden, special faviors are called in, they'll have him sitting in the shade somewhere out of harms way, guarding a veggie garden in the back of someone's home there, watching it grow, and watering it. He'll never go door to door, see any antion, or point his M-16 at nothing. Plus I think in that picture Biden done something to his eyebrows? I thought I was looking at a Klingon. I hate to make these kinds of observations, but I couldn't help it. There's something different. It's either that or his makeup artist was a ChiCom. Sarah Palin was right when she accused Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama of voting against funding for U.S. troops in combat and chastised Biden for defending him, especially with your son in the National Guard. It's all liberal hype.
4th deployment? | 9:43 p.m. Oct. 4, 2008
I'm sure Senator Biden is proud of his son. BUT, the timing certainly seems like a stroke of good political luck or something. If this is the 4th time this unit has had soldiers deployed, is this the first time Biden has been deployed?
And it occurs to me that the people of Delaware are now missing their attorney general. I can't help but wonder who is taking over for him in the AG's office and whether it is who the people would think was qualified to be their AG. Also, I wonder whether Biden's AG salary will be continued while he is gone. A little political nepotism here, too, maybe. Keep Delaware all in the family or something.
Can't help but wonder about Biden, Sr. How can you take credit for being against a war that has now become unpopular when you voted for it when it was popular? It's not as if Biden weren't Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and didn't have LOTS of experience in government.
