Since the column is titled: "In their words..." one would assume that these are their words, in context, without bias.
WRONG!
Not sure who chose these itty bitty bites of the debate, but you can sure tell it was an Obama supporter. I watched the debates and did not find Biden to be as eloquent as you make him appear nor did I find Palin to be as backwoods - unable to correctly construct a sentence as you have portrayed here.
I think Palin did very well against the more experienced slick politician - in spite of the press.
"Nebraska" notwithstanding, Sarah Palin thinks there is a "toxic mess" on Main Street that is affecting Wall Street? Isn't that backwards? And she says there should be no diplomacy until you "have sanctions lined up"? Does she even know what diplomacy and sanctions are? Come on, she's a nice lady I guess, but she is hardly ready to be one 72-year-old cancer-survivor's heartbeat from the Oval Office. For Katy Couric, she couldn't even name one magazine or newspaper that she reads to keep up with current events. A competent candidate would at least have made up an answer!
