So I take it that Reisen believes that those Legislators who were anti-vouchers and accepted money from the UEA and other anti-voucher groups actually accepted bribes.

To say that what Hughes did was a crime is a joke!

Special interests often support those who support their cause by donating money to their campaigns because they want them to remain in office.

If Hughes merely told Lawrence that switching her position would bring her into favor with the pro-voucher advocates/donors, and therefore she could enjoy their support, he was merely stating a fact, not making a bribe.

Otherwise Reisen and the rest of the anti-voucher voters, and UEA beneficiaries, are also criminals and need to be investigated for taking bribes.

According to Lawrence's letter, which was written for an entirely different reason than to support an ethics claim, all Hughes did was say that she would have financial support of the pro-voucher group.

Reisen has manipulated Lawrence and betrayed her trust by using her letter for purely political purposes. Shame on Reisen. He's just another typical partisan politician.
