That is great news to hear how good of shape the players reported back in. This is without a doubt the best team top to bottom that we have ever had here. Now whether it is the right mix to win an NBA championship or not time will tell. Sometimes the right chemistry is a minor tweaking, and that is what we did this off-season by signing CJ and Knight. I'm pumped just for the fact that we will be a winner and can compete with anyone, any night. Go Jazz.

we often wish for blockbuster trade to improve your favorite team but if the players can better themselves, that is as good as good trade. Considering how young Jazz is, they have good chance of improving athletically as well as tactically.

this is awesome news, i love the fact that Brewer is huge and bulky, i like him to back up Kobe or who ever in the 2nd position. love the Jazz!

All is good shape...well, except Harpring who isn't in Boise because of infection to another surgery. Poor guy. He always gives his all, but I think he's wearing down. Here's hoping CJ can step up into his shoes and deliver. With a new contract, and being in tip top shape, I believe he can. time to shine CJ. Go Jazz!

The team should have added a veteran big man, someone who can play some D. Boozer will bring the points but not the D. Okur tries to play D but is limited. Jazz should have went for Camby or Magliore. How about trying to bring Mourning to play one more season. An old mourning plays better D than a young boozer/okur..

I was hiking in Millcreek Canyon two weekends ago and saw half the team coming up a very steep trail as I was on my way down. I was impressed!

This team is so committed to winning. Everybody, get on the wagon now. Jazz Champs 2009. I even heard they are going to church together on Sunday's to bring in a higher power to help them with their defense and outside shooting. With that help, we will be seeing rings!

Not sure how a bulkier shooting guard who can't shoot is going to make any differnece at all.

IN fact the whole team is not really any different from last year or two.

Hence, no championship again.

But a winning season that will keep the owner happy, and the management team in a job.

The reason brewer worked on getting more muscle mass is because of the way he plays. He is constantly slashing into the lane and now he wont be pushed around as much (not that he was a lot before, but this will help a lot). I am also sure that brewer worked on his shot a lot. GO Jazz!!

What's great about this, is that when you're in shape you have much greater confidence and you also, as Jerry likes to point out, you listen better. You don't have to catch your breath all the time. You also can focus on learning the new plays and re-learning the old ones better.

All around it's a great time to be a Jazz fan!

In case you did not notice, Brewer has to defend some of the top offensive players in the league every night. Muscle mass will help--ALOT. Muscle will not help his shooting so I hope he got some results from all the shooting practice he says he put in.

Being in shape early in the season could make the difference in a few early games against other teams who might not be in shape. We know at the end of the season always look back and say...if we only had won one or two more games then we would have home court against X team in the second round of the playoffs.

Just as important to me it shows players are motivated--that is a marvel in itself in todays NBA.
