This is good. We need more statues like this. It not only symbolizes what we, as Americans, fight for, but also how close to home this actually is. I know many men that have been deployed to the field of battle and i always think that should be recognized. People are always complaining that too many soldiers are being deployed to war, but what they don't understand is that these men and women volunteer to do this. None of them are made to. These brave men and women purposely throw themselves in harms way so that we can live in this country without the threat of war. It would be a dissapointment if the president pulled out most or all troops from the war. We are helping these countries that are ruled by dictators and they desperatly need our help. If we had no troops in the middle east, it would have catastrophic effects on the economy any the way people live. There would be more car bombing, more murders and the violence could spread to the United States. That is not the way I want to live.
