Another great win for the playoff bound Red Devils, against a very capable and tough Tooele team. Although the defense seemed a little too relaxed tonight, the offense was firing on all cylinders. The O-line continues to do a great job protecting Allred, whose used that time to make great reads and great plays.
Props to Principle Robbins for cutting bait with the previous coach and bringing in coaches Mitchell and Larsen. The Red Devils haven't played this well after six games since the 2004 season...and it's not because they have superior athletes over the previous years. This is just a more disciplined and well coached team.
Best wishes go out to Tooele's #13 Jordon Biorge, who had a very good game, and went down in the 4th Q with what looked like a serious knee injury. I know I speak for many (hopefully all) Springville fans who wish him a speedy and full recovery.
GO DEVILS! BEAT OREM!
Springville fans can't let 2004 go. That team is never coming back and you didn't win state that year.
orem is going down
i was at that game and i thought for sure they would give goodman some credit for his 41 yard field goal and five touchbacks
#13 Jordon Biorge did suffer a serious knee injury. It probably will cost him his football and track seasons this year. Totaling nearly 200 yards in just 15 carries had to be one of the best performances last night and probably his career best.
A special thanks and show of good sportsmanship goes out to the Springville players and staff. While Jordon sat in the back of the golf cart outside the locker room last night after the game, numerous Springville players and coaches came by and offered their good wishes to Jordan. THS appreciates their efforts, as I am sure Jordon and his family do as well. Despite the negative things you hear about high school athletics and sportsmanship, Springville High and its community should be proud of many of their young athletes and coaching staff for their display and concern for an injured opponent. Good luck in your upcoming games.
Lets not forget about the game sealing interception at the end of the game by our very own Thomas Eastman. Nice job guys! Way to play hard!
Blah, Blah, Blah, Weak Region. Famous Coach.
I want to retract my previous submission: Re: Blah, Blah, Blah...
I'm just going to let that go...for now....
we're going to state, we believe it and thats all that matters
Good Luck to you. Your a great kid and sometimes bad things happen to good people to help others and to teach you. Endure and good things will happen for you.
Springville is going to light up Timpview. Timpview can't stop the devils offense. Go Devils.
