Ryan is a real talent. Forever Strong is GREAT. He and Adam should be proud. Keep it up guys!!!
We need more values-infused movies out like "Forever Strong." Keep them coming! Thanks, Ryan!
Thank you, Thank you to him for his great work!
Loved Saints & Soldiers and look forward to his future movies. Keep it up.
Good article, Jeff.
I couldn't believe Ryan Little took on a sports movie. Talk about gutsy.
If the action scenes aren't well done, that alone will turn off true fans of the sport.
And is there a harder genre for avoiding cliche' than inspirational sports stories?
There are only a few outcomes that are acceptable to most audiences, so how do you get there and give audiences something satisfying in the process?
Forever Strong rightly belongs in the company of films such as Remember the Titans, We Are Marshall, Invincible, Rocky, Hoosiers, Seabiscuit, Rudy, etc.
Hopefully the boxoffice can overcome the anti-LDS filmmaker stigma held and perpetuated by some.
Forever Strong needs to do well enough so Ryan can be referred to as the maker of Forever Strong, instead of the maker of Saints and Soldiers. Then he'll be a step closer to being known as a filmmaker who is LDS, not as an LDS filmmaker.
Great movie, Ryan.
You lead the group of filmmakers that give us filmgoers hope that patronizing the works of LDS filmmakers will provide us not just with morally suitable entertainment, but with artistically excellent cinema as well.
Hey, this guys movies are a thousand times better than the sappy states of grace mishaps! Its good to see a movie that is not overly preachy and each scene doesn't have someone crying thier eyes out!
I didn't realize my old high school had a movie about it's illustrious rugby program. Neat.
Enjoyed Saints and Soldiers. Good luck in finding more success.
We got to see the sneak preview a while back, and I loved it then! Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
More LDS people need to get into the entertainment business and infuse it with good, old-fashioned values. I'm sick of seeing Hollywood try to make evil look good and good look evil.
Saints & Soldiers is a fantastic film, and I'm a huge rugby fan, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing this movie. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I hope Ryan Little can continue making films worth seeing. There's far too much garbage out there these days.
I went to see this movie yesterday (opening day) based on what Meridian had to say about it. It is the best movie I have seen in quite a while! I sat down and sent an email to our local newspaper editor in the hopes that others who want to see values in action instead of inaction and outright demeaning would go watch it. I sincerely hope that folks will heed me instead of the critics, that is, if the editors even print my letter before the local cinemas close the movie. PUhleeeze keep making such movies! I will be purchasing the DVD when released for presents for my grandchildren and others who appreciate such entertainment.
Loved it! It was so refreshing to enjoy a movie without all the nonsense most Hollywood producers think the public wants. Ryan, let there be no question about your future success! Think about getting another one of Nicholas Sparks' books on film. Actually, our book club could keep good suggestions coming for as long as you'd like them.

This is a terrific film! Take a friend, take your family, take the grouchy guy down the street. It's good stuff.
Ryan does make dignified movies and I appreciate that. Some of the emovies made by LDS people make LDS look stupid and don't send the right message. I am thankful for the LDS member made movies that are dignified. "The Best Two Years" is one of them.
Pablum. Baby food for those who think that if they are forced to think their heads will explode. PS-I don't like Hollywood films either.
Our family is still talking about it, my husband keeps playing the Haka chant. It was great to go to the theater and find something uplifting. Thank you so much- it was great. I recommend it to everyone. We will see it again and again.
Can't wait to see it.
saw it opening night. greatful still some movies I'm not embarrased to have grandkids see. Kia Kaha, had some great morals to teach, I was glad to see it. Not terribly well publicised and I was disapointed at the turn out the first night. Rest assured, I will be promoting it to everyone I see. Loved it!!!!!!!!!!! Kia Kaha, Ehoa.
I saw Forever Strong at a Hollywood premiere last week at the Arclight Cinemas on Sunset Blvd and the film played to mainly a non-LDS audience. Reaction was immensely positive and everyone really enjoyed it.
I personally thought it was one of the better sports films that I've seen in a long time mainly for it's honest portrayal of the human condition, for young people and adults. Excellent, excellent work!
Very enjoyable, this movie earned first my respect, and then my passion.
You may be interested to know that up in the Tri Cities of Eastern Washington, the local film critic was favorably impressed (not always a good sign). The movie got cred on it's own merits from the secular crowd.
Worth seeing again, and worth buyin' the dvd. Good job!
This movie was a surprise to me. I heard it was good, but I was surprised that the actors and story were well done, and taught a valuable lesson. Ryan Little's strong point seems to be finding strong moral stories that appeal to wide audiences. Saints and Soldiers is a fine example. I believe that Forever Strong will be a strong addition to the + column for him, if the public comes out to see it. Keep up the good work Ryan, and hope this movie goes to the top.
