I'm a fan of the game, so I want to see this guy succeed.

My recommendation is to borrow a marketing practice from the Utah Jazz that has been very successful in making kids feel connected to that team. Every kid in Utah that plays little league basketball receives 1 free ticket to a basketball game (usually a low-demand game in a poor seat). The kid's dad or one of his friend's dad usually take him to the game (the dad buys his own ticket). While he's at the game, the kid usually buys some food and a drink. The organization makes a little money and the kid becomes a lifelong fan. Sure, the Jazz gave away a seat for free, but the Jazz gained a lifelong fan that will spend money in the future. The deal is win/win. RSL should do the same.

I live in Dallas and FC Dallas hasn't figured this out yet. I think they're missing out - once a kid goes to his first game, he's more likely to go again.

Good luck - I hope RSL succeeds in Salt Lake!

Bill has continued to impress me. I didn't know his background originally, and wasn't too sure about the guy. But he is a class act, and has gotten the RSL wagon moving along nicely.

Great news about the Stadium Naming, I can't wait to hear what we will call our new home.

See you on the 9th.

You are right on. To have the kids grow up watching the team creates a demand and history that will help in the team long term.

I am pretty sure that the kids playing rec soccer here get free real tickets. I always see my cousin at the games, and they go when they get tickets, and now they are pretty good fans of the sport.

I think RSL had a sticky patch when the financing was being debated, but ever since the foundations were laid and we've seen the concrete evidence of progress everything has just gotten better and better.
Like the guy says RSL will be fine, it will be an asset to the community and it is going nowhere except upwards.
Tickets are soon gonna have scarcity value and silverware beckons.
