I laugh when I read comments from animal abusers that they worry about the well-being and lives of these mink. Are people really so short-sighted that they can't realize that these mink would've faced indefinite imprisonment followed by certain death had they not been given a chance at freedom? Even if one single mink goes on to live a more normal life from this action, the release is justified and resulted in nothing but a net good.

The mink do not go on to a better life in freedom, They have been somewhat domesticated. It has been reported a number of mink died of heat related issues, a cruel and inhumane death. Stealing the mink and keeping them safe is one thing but releasing them and having them suffer is another issue. If you demand the punishment for stepping on a pheasent, then the same laws apply to the release and suffering deaths of these mink.

While some mink did die due to heat exhaustion and starvation, they also had a chance to run free for once in their life. A successful/admirable liberation occured if any one of the mink are now in a better life, for who knows what horrors they would endure at the farm(life in a cage.)

Well done to whoever set the mink free at least they felt the ground on their paws and not steal metal cages!! I would rather die of heat then being skinned alive........Think about it the next time you want to wear cruelty on yoyr back.. Animal Liberation Front, UK

I agree with the comment from C.A.L.F. I would rather die from heat then being skinned alive. Much less painful. Good job.

Studies with "domesticated" fur mink that were legally purchased then released show that most survive due to being native to the area.

It is always laughable when article writers or farmers claim "Oooh they killed our animals." or whatever. All of those animals, rather than 5%, would have died by neck breaking and being skinned for coats had they not been freed.

Bravo to the liberators. Mink are wild animals. They deserve to be wild.

One of the farmers I believe stated that many mink die because they are in an unnatural habitat... They are freaking native here... aside from all these "claims" that mink are getting run over and dying of starvation and heat... not that I believe them... but I would rather die of heat exhaustion and have a chance at free life, then live life in cage, have my neck broken, get anally electrocuted or be skinned alive... Now for a quote from a fur farmer... "It's a legitimate agricultural enterprise..." "...Contrary to popular belief we love animals"

Jordan Halliday

Even more ridiculous:
"They're real fragile animals," Wilcox said. "They shouldn't be in this area naturally."
