I am all for a bit of sports fun but when it means your canceling family events then I would venture to guess your taking it to far. Why not just lay out the victim welcome mat and say walk all over me. When we raise a bunch of boys to think this way we are setting them up for a shocker. Work doesnt let you take off for the game. Dirty diapers and dishes still have to get washed. If you got yourself a superman who gets everything done during the week and weekends are free for alls well yeah go for it. Truth is most of us both work full time and have kids and yards must be cool to have a wife that does everything and watches the game with you. And yeah we do catch a game or to even go to the stadium. But this article is straight out of the 1950's.

I am one of those football-crazed wives who actually drag their husbands to the game each week, and who have to make deals with the husband so I can have the TV all day on Saturday. The invention of the iPhone has worked wonders for our marriage. If my husband gets sick of the game....he will pull out his iPhone and find something to do, while I cheer my heart out....on the other hand, it is nice, because I never have to leave and go stand in the long lines for food. He is happy to do that!

My sister wife is ESPN, and sports is year round at my house. It's all just a game of comprimise like any other issues in a marriage.
