there is a lot of money in porno and related items. They are not fighting this on principle but bottom line $. They are business people and know how it pays. Other wise for less money than an hour of an attorneys time would take care of it. Publicly unwilling to admit the real reasons for fighting it.
Here's a toast to Dr. John, litigating your First Amendment rights so you don't have to!
Doctor John's should be classified as a sexual oriented business. How difficult is it. They sell products that are sexually oriented. They don't sell family videos or gaming videos, they sell sexually oriented videos. The clothing they sell is sexually oriented, the books they sell are sexually oriented. You can't walk in there and buy John Grisham's newest novel. You can't go into Doctor John's and buy toys for your kids, however you can go buy sexually oriented toys. The list goes on, it is all sexually oriented. They should use the KISS principle. Keep It Simple Stupid! Just pay the extra fees for a sexual based business and stop the court process so Roy city no longer has to spend money on lawyers! Hey here's an idea, lets use the money for the Roy city residents instead of some business owner who wants to prove some point, when in fact he is only proving he is thinking of himself. He could take a few lessons in pride and let it go! Just pay the extra money!
