The current world where "Christian" Jessica Simpson is known for her affairs with many men....and where it's now "cool" for a young girl to be pregnant because her mom is Christian?

I'm sorry. I'm SO glad our daughter made it through her teenaged years before this lack of morality infiltrated the right wing.

Some of these comments sound jealous, or at least, unnecesarily acerbic.

Let the students waste a little time. It's not as if they do this every week.

suzyk - your attempt to paint the entire administration with the same brush is evidence that YOU have not grown up yet.

I have a hard time understanding how the Weber High studentbody's education was harmed in any way, based on the facts that were reported.

I went on band tour all three of my high school years. Those tours (forcing me to miss an entire week of school) were much more disruptive to my education than this Jessica Simpson visit was to the average Weber High student. But I made up the work I missed (which was no picnic), and I am grateful for the experience I had on band tour. A visit from a celebrity like Jessica Simpson would have been even easier to absorb.

I think a few people need to lighten up, and not be so uptight. Celebrity is a part of our culture. Get over it.

To Weber High Student - if the assembly was lame, I still wish I had been there.

Not only does she have the intelligence of a rock, she is not attractive. In fact, she looks like her dad with man jaw and all. I am just smart enough to not stare at her chest when she starts bouncing up and down to distract from the fact that she is vacuous and self absorbed.

High school kids must be seriously lacking study skills or brains to have the desire to send that many text messages to have Jessica Simpson come to your school. Way to go high school kids. Sometimes when I see high school kids act really dumb, I remind myself that I too acted a little dumb at that age. However, I would have never sent a text message so she could come to my school.

I was one of the lucky ones that got to meet her before the assembly. She was very appreciative of the things we had done for her and was very nice. She could have said no pictures with kids before hand and just came and left but she didn't. It was amazing to meet her and to see that not all celebrities are stuck up. She was a pleasure to be around!

of one of those kids, I'd probably strangle him for wasting his time texting away (and costing me hundreds of dollars) instead of learning. I mean, that is what we send our kids to school for anyway, right? Sure hope those kids thought about how their parents will react when they receive the bill in the mail!

its not like it was a concert or anything, but it was way cool that weber high actually had a celebrity come to our school. We got to get out of class for an hour and i was even on the news:) Its something cool that happened my senior year! yeah weber! lol

people are ridiculous. since when has something cool like that ever happened to weber high?? it was a neat experience for some of the kids. get over it! GO WEBER!
