The author misused the word reticent. She really meant reluctant. This is very common in Utah for some reason. Reticent means reserved, unwilling to speak and is not used in association with actions, such as taking medicine. Just trying to preserve the English language!

What really worked for me this year was Royal Jelly--it's some sort of a bee product, but after I started using it my allergies were barely noticeable. Before I found that, I was taking an every 8 hour allergy pill every 2 hours--not good. Allergies stink.

It is common because it is correct!

I've known folks who were both reluctant and reticent.
