Altas defense is the best in the state and might be one of the best in the country. Great job Alta!!! You were on the field for a longtime last night, outstanding job once again.
Man the offense doesn't look good! That needs to be adjusted by the time Region starts or we are in for some battles for sure!!!
Defense amazing like always!!!!
Nice job hawks! Looks like a serious struggle last night but you still did it. Lets pull things back together for Cali. and reigon!
I don't know if I'd say they are one of the best in the country, but they are definitely one of if not the best in the state. I believe a lot of the credit should go to the D cooridnator. For as long as he has been at Alta, they have had a shut down D. He is college material.
D is fantastic, but all you hear or read is about the offense, until you read what everyone witness during the game on these blogs. D coordinator is the best there is. Offense complements the unbelievable D. Coaches need to talk about players on both sides of the ball. We love Olsen and we love the other 99 players too. Especially the other 11 on D. Offense wins games, defense win championships. Altas defense is better than last years squad and the stats prove it.
hunter had that game. they just had little mistakes. but other then that good job to alta on finishing..but i think hunter couldve beat them if they finished wut they started..
What did they start janjaman? You got shutout! Maybe if you scored even once that sentence would work... but you didn't. Alta definitely wasn't at their best that game but I'd never go so far as to say that "Hunter had that game".
This was Hunter, and people are talking best D around? Come on peeps. Look at who you played.
alta's D was way better last year than this years
Alta keep it up! Lets prove how good we are! Even though you guys played two easier teams they all wont be like that! LETS GO!!
I was not talking about one game, look what the D has done all year so far. You can't run or pass on them. Yes they are the best D in the state. Look how many yards they have allowed this year. Scores and stats don't lie. Alta has the # 1 D again.
I have to agree with To Alta D overrated! Alta's defense is stellar again! They are shutting teams down and bringing home wins on their back! Alta's offense will score points, even on bad days, but this team will win a championship again because of their defensive dominance! #1 Defefense in the state!
alta d was not all that. hunter could've beat the alta hawks if it weren't for the mistakes! hunter will see alta again in state
RE Anonymous, Wow Hunter "could have", way to dream buddy. Mistakes eh? Well we made plenty ourselves. Your offense had the ball almost the entire second half and you couldn't score once. In fact the one time you were close enough to try our DEFENSE scored on you. So while you may think our d isn't all that, remember you couldn't score on them for your life and they were able to score on you. Not to mention the two other touchdowns to help SHUT YOU OUT!
Hunter 'almost had the game'...
Alta's defense is 'over rated'...
'Almost had it' Hunter ALMOST scores 6 points...
Alta's over rated defense actually did score 6 points...
Where is the logic? I wasn't able to attend this game, and I don't know how many yards Hunter did or didn't have, but if you get shut out it is never a good game for you. And if you don't even score a FG you don't deserve anything!
Ron Halbert does an exceptional job in preparing his defense every single week. I should remind everyone this is the same d-coordinator that gameplanned the defense that held Riley Nelson and that record breaking Logan offense of 2006 to 14 points and somewhere around 300 yards (compared to the 500 yards and 48 ppg they were averaging that year)
I love you Halb. Best D coordinator in the state hands down.
Hawks are their own worst enemy this year.
Go Alta.
