My husband & I are very excited to see the film. Some of our friends have seen it and really liked it.
We owe a debt of gratitude to such filmakers who struggle to provide us with some clean but good shows. THANKS!
I had a chance to watch this movie and it is better than most movies getting far more attention. It is a great film - acting, story, directing.
Tom Sizemore is brilliant. Hopefully this performance will help get him back on the right path. What a talent! Baldwin is superb. There is not one weak performance or aspect to this film. That it has had trouble just getting into theaters is a shame! The kids are tremendous. This film should be a major release and deserves accolades galore. It's a treat. Bravo and encore!
I will be sure to see it on DVD. That is where Good Little Movies like this one, neede to be seen. Mostly because the price of movies tickets are so high. I can buy the movie for the cost of taking the family. I am sure it is a very good movie.
I saw the movie here in St. George and was pleasantly surprised. It was very entertaining, funny and had some great cinematography. Worth seeing in the theater!
Rocco is a graduate of American Fork High School. I remember him as that kid who always had a camera in hand. Way to chase your dreams, Rocco!
Very well done....a truly fun movie! It is without question one of the best produced movies to come out of Utah, and is a lot of fun to watch.
Maybe the Movie will show in Laie, Hawaii. No R Rated movies are shown in Laie. Nor are Adult Films allowed on your DVD Player, even in Married Housing. We also have a Multi Plex Art Theater in Downtown Honolulu. You can eat at Ruth Chris Steakhouse and then if you have any money left go to a Movie.
In 1989 I saw a missionary-produced movie called "He's not my companion" that was made by Rocco DeVilliers, I think. That name sounds so familiar, and it certainly isn't a common name. Anyone know anything about that?
Isn't there a movie already called "Flyboys"? Actually I own it. Can they produce another movie with the same title?
It's called "THE" Flyboys, and it's many times better than Flyboys.Take Rocco to court if you don't like it. But first, go see the movie when it's in theatres. The kids are great. There are laughs, gasps and a cute message at the end. Well acted, and every kid's fantasy. Great movie Rocco - Hope you get big time distribution!
Finally, I have been telling everyone I know to helpget the word our about this film. I have known Rocco for many years I am so excited that it looks like things are coming together.
Involve with Dutcher? Kiss of death.
Yes Pale Bear, Rocco is the director of the short film you mention. Some of my friends made their acting debut there in North Carolina. I am trying to remember. I think he made a second film there as well. I have one or both of them on a vcr tape. I knew at that time almost without doubt that DeVilliers would go on to success in the movie business. Today I read the proof of that in this article I just saw by chance.
My girls and I loved the movie and can't wait to go again this weekend. Fun to hear about how it was made.
What a great film. I loved it loved it loved it. Can't wait to see it again. My kids loved it.
This film was so sentimental and personal for me. My Grandfather served in WWII and the Grandpa in this movie reminded me so much of him. Great patriotism in this movie, makes you proud to be American.
Oh man I had that missionary movie by DeVilliers; the one that looked like it was filmed on one P-day with a member's handicam. It was hilarious. My mom sent it to me on my mission in Mexico and the Elders couldn't get enough of it, including the spanish-speaking ones even though they couldn't understand the dialogue. Unfortunately the sequel wasn't as good as the original. Good for Rocco.
