It's a Dagone Shame | 3:48 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
That Hot Rod is only doing the Radio Call. He should be on Television and Radio until he deems that it's time to "Put it in the freezer" so to speak.
byron | 4:42 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
This sucks! I am not happy, I am too poor to get cable. How can a network named kjazz only show 16 out of 82 games? Thats only about 20%. It's the Mountain all over again. maybe I can find a way to stream the games online.
Jazz Fan | 5:13 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
Hot Rod's past his prime in calling games. He can't pronounce the player's names correctly (tired of hearing about "Kal Kover, Callus Boozuh, and forget about Charlie "Villanova"--give me a break!). Hot Rod doesn't even sound like he's having fun any more. I think the time has come to "put it in the freezer".

No ESPN? | 5:39 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
No ESPN games? Maybe ESPN hasn't released its schedule. Hopefully that is the case, because if not, that would be a shame if they decided it wasn't worth it to show even one Jazz game.
That's stupid ! | 6:34 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
Way to go Jazz!! First jack up ticket prices and then only 16!! 16 KJZZ games!!!! WOW! Makes it tough for us college kids to watch the games! you sold yourself to the devil!!
Anonymous | 7:52 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
Some people always have to find something to complain about.
Randy from Idaho | 8:06 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
Way to go Jazz. I have been trying for years to get our cable company to add KJZZ, but to no avail. I am totally pumped to get 60 games on FSN. Can't wait!
ESPN | 8:22 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
There are five ESPN games on the schedule as well as the six TNT games, but those will also be aired on FSN Utah and/or KJZZ-TV. The schedule shows the dates for ESPN broadcasts.

NBA-TV still hasn't announced its schedule, either.
NBA Ticket | 8:33 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
So if I get the NBA ticket do I get all the Jazz games?
Basic Cable | 9:46 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
Man, I talked my wife into letting me get basic cable so we would have KJZZ to watch most of the games. Well, with only 16 games, I guess that plan didn't work out.

I hate how money controls everything now.
RE: NBA Ticket | 10:18 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
You will get all the Jazz games as long as you live outside the Utah Jazz market. So if you could get FSN Utah in your area, you will not be able to watch the games on NBA ticket, otherwise you are set.

PS I hope there is a lot of games on FSN HD, FSN Low D looks like they are just making the transition from black and white to technicolor.
Matt | 10:35 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
I can't wait!!!! GO JAZZ!!!!

(this year is gonna be awesome!)
Anonymous | 11:39 p.m. Sept. 10, 2008
dont you get fsn with like the basic 40 dollar cable?
Comcast question | 7:23 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
I live in Salt Lake and I just got the basic comcast plan (with the HD channels), but the FSN channel I get is FSN rocky mountain. Am I out of luck? Why don't I have FSN Utah?
well | 7:39 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
thats what success does to the franchise. Had they not made the playoffs the last two years, they'd all probably be free tickets!
Who cares | 7:50 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
The Jazz are going to tank this year. They won't even make that playoffs. Deron has a fat contract and Boozer doesn't care. Oh I forgot, AK is going to carry the team!!! Harpring can't run on his knees and CJ was the worst money ever spent. Brewer can't make anything outside of a dunk. The only bright spot is Milsap. He does it all!! So all of you keep your money and don't spend it on cable or tickets. Jazz win 35 games this year!!
Who cares about the little guy? | 8:01 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
First, we can't get the local colleges on the rabbit ears. Now, KJZZ drops their Jazz broadcasts from 40 last year to 16 this year. The chasm widens between the "haves" and the "have nots".
HD | 8:25 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
I can't belive they call it HD. Have you seen the HD games last year 420i common.
St. George Aggie | 9:06 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
Thanks LHM for creating this KJZZ channel to air Jazz games and then thanks to LHM's son for yanking all the games away and make us pay to watch Jazz games.

Way to sell out!

In order to watch any sport I have to have all these channels that cost $$ to upgrade. My monthly tv bill will soon be $100 just to watch, add that in with the rising cost of gas and food. Wow! Thanks!

And then they have the audacity to want me to pay a ridiculous ticket price to have a 2-hour bloody nose while watching ants move around on a piece of wood. All the while the athlete is complaining that he needs more money or he's out of here.
St. George Aggie | 9:08 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
I ain't actually bitter. I love the Jazz, I just hate all the $$ it costs to follow them. And I hate the attitude of today's athlete. They want to get paid but don't want to produce.
Re: Comcast question | 9:22 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
FSN Rocky Mountain is FSN Utah. You'll get all the games
pre season!! | 9:25 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
I'm just stoked that they're televising all the preseason games...I don't know if I can go another month and a half without basketball, and I really want to see Deron play in the U of I assembly hall again. I think that will do a lot for his confidence this season.
There's a feeling in the air... | 9:36 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
Let's be honest people, nothing in life is free. It never has been, and it never will be. If you don't have FSN, complaining won't help. You must purchase cable/satellite that has that plan. The Jazz and TV stations can't accomodate to your every need. They are business and are FOR PROFIT organizations. They are not there to give you handouts and free television and Jazz games.

I for one am excited about this season. I think the Jazz will fare better this year than last as long as people stay healthy. Having Korver for the whole year and settled in will help stretch defenses, and DWill hates to lose. I'm iffy on Boozer. He won't last here in Utah, but this is a contract year for him so he should put up good numbes. Go Jazz!
Zeke | 9:37 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
Only 16 games on KJZZ. What is the reason behind this? If you don`t have cable it`s not fair
16 GAMES??? | 9:46 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
So now I can only watch 16 games this year!!?? Do I have to send my wife out to work so I can watch BYU & the Jazz???

Ridiculous!
Mike in Idaho | 10:18 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
Get cable and quit crying.

I'm happy as a clam, now I get the bulk of the games without having to pay for nba ticket.
$$$ | 10:22 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
Obviously the Jazz are making more money by having the games on FSN! We should be happy about that because that means they have more money to spend on our players which will eventually lead to a championship! Cable TV isn't that expensive especially if you make it a priority. Go out to eat one less time a month or something. Although I was surprised to see only 16 games on KJZZ, I'm sure this is a great move for the Jazz!
focus & perspective | 10:54 a.m. Sept. 11, 2008
Football season just barely started and people are looking forward to the NBA? Really Really sad IMO.
re stupid | 12:30 p.m. Sept. 11, 2008
unless you are attending steven hinager collage what are you talking about. there are lots to do at college get out of your dorm room and live.
Box Score | 1:52 p.m. Sept. 11, 2008
I love the Jazz, but it looks like I will be following them through the box score this year. I am bummed. Gas, food, threats of layoffs have taken any flexibility of even thinking about paying more for TV.

The excitement about the Jazz that I had for this year has taken a hit.

I understand that the Jazz need to make a profit. I just need to make sure I make more than I spend.

I hope you have a good year Jazz. Looks like I won't be seeing you much.
Worth Every Penny. | 2:19 p.m. Sept. 11, 2008
I pay for Dish Network, even on a tight budget because watching my Jazz keeps me sane during the winter! Its not really that expensive. Anyone who is a true fan would not be whining about $50 -
$100 a month to watch D-Will and the rest of the Jazz!
Prediction... | 3:34 p.m. Sept. 11, 2008
Jazz will do very well, yet again, and win most of their games at home. They will be 3rd or 4th seed in the playoffs, and will go on until they meet media powerhouse #1 (Lakers), #2 (Hornets), and then all the sudden Jazz players won't be able to lift their arms to get rebounds, Boozer's points and rebounds will mysteriously drop off, and the NBA's favorite team will make them millions as they run laughing to the finals.

I know it sounds cynical, but honestly the NBA is a business and the Jazz don't stand a chance in the end because they won't bring the big bucks.
Let's See | 4:38 p.m. Sept. 11, 2008
60 games on Cable. So now the Jazz are pushing us to buy the channels where all the R and X rated programs are. Now we will have to set our system to prohibit Pornography along with all the wasted channels that sell everything from Coins to sex toys.

Way to Go Larry. I guess that shows where your values are going!!
Sold Out | 7:23 p.m. Sept. 11, 2008
Been an avid Jazz fan for 30 years but I don't like the smut that comes with the tv packages that carry fox sports. What a dissapointment. Not going to pay for all the trash on premium tv. Does seem like a sell out.
Dang!! | 10:52 p.m. Sept. 11, 2008
Dang Guys.. I'm TOTALY jealous of you guys who say your wife won't let you get cable, that just gives you an excuse to get out & watch the the game w/ your buddies or sip down a cold one @ the local pub.., Dang, I gotta lie just to say the game isn't on tv, "Sorry hun, gotta go to the bar to watch the game"...
Jazzman | 7:15 a.m. Sept. 12, 2008
Reading this feed is embarassing. I can't believe how cheap so many people are. Cable a haven for X and R rated tv....grow up. I am embarrassed for Utah to have so many people that live in a bubble. There is a world outside of the wasatch front. True fans are excited and will find away to watch the games. Buck up and pay basic cable, it is a better deal than any other team in the league.
Re: Jazzman | 12:16 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
I am of the opinion of about half a dozen other people on this board. Cable is smut. Period.
You say, "Grow up" and I reply that because I am grown up, I know enough to say that Cable TV has programs that are destructive. There are a few studies that show that teenagers that grow up with "premium channels" in their home are much more likely to have addiction to pornography. Which is the number one cause of child abuse. Just telling you the facts.

I won't have cable in my home for these reasons. I am very dissapointed in the franchise right now. I will probably watch a few of the 66 games that I won't be getting on weekends with friends, but for the most part, I'm just not going to be able to watch them.

This decision to only televise 16 games will halt the resurgence of "Jazz Fever" that we've scene these passed few years. Although the Jazz will make a few million $ more, they are selling their future by not allowing everyone to see the games.

It's sad.
RE Jazzman II | 4:55 p.m. Sept. 12, 2008
Lived all over the US and still think this is a shame...and I think the premium cable is full of junk. I am a season ticket holder and very dissapointed at the Jazz treatment of the fans. This is bad Karma. Time to start following college ball.
Real Jazz Fan | 6:10 a.m. Sept. 13, 2008
The world owes me! You have to be kidding me. I remember when we did'nt even get all of the away games on tv, Now we can watch ALL the games! I for one am stoked. The ones that can't pay to watch, OH WELL! maybe you should be working or studying instead.
JAzz | 12:02 a.m. Sept. 14, 2008
This is awesome! I live in Boise and can only watch the games when they're one FSN, which for some reason FSNUtah plays the same up here on FSNorthwest. I only got to see like 10 games last year so I'm stoked!
jrod | 11:45 p.m. Sept. 15, 2008
well im a jazz fan in texas, so this doesnt bother me much. im a law student at university of texas having done undergrad at univ. of utah so i have to pay to watch the jazz now no matter what. if i buy the nba league pass will the games be blacked out bcuz they are on a fox network? i have the fox sports package for my cable box but it only has fox sports pacific, fox sports central, fox sports south and fox sports southwest...no fox sports utah in there...im concerned, i dont wanna buy league pass if the games are gonna be blacked out.
