FLDS members on the board may give the appearance of being fair. The real question is does two seats on a board give the board power to manage the trust.
If the board is a rubber stamp for Wisan or has a majority pro Wisan leaning the FLDS are only token representatives.
At least the FLDS will have an ear in the meetings. Even one FLDS member is better than none but how will FLDS influence anything?
It really should go back to the original reason for why the trust was taken over in the first place, and why, if the government cares so much about the FLDS people being robbed by the trustees, does it appoint a man to administer the trust who is evicting them, and selling the properties right out from under them to pay his exorbitant fees?
Whether or not the FLDS lost an old grain elevator is a matter of dispute. Whether Wisan's fees are now in the millions, and that that is going to be paid for by taking food right out of the mouths of FLDS children, is not a matter of dispute.
In this case government actions have defeated their own pretended purpose.
Sounds to me they need to sale some property to pay some bills, if FLDS member's want a say they should be there on what's sold.. There shouldn't be a war on this, they have a mess created by Jeffs and it's going to be a long haul to straighten it all out..
The "mess" was created by noone but Judge Lindberg and Wisan. Lindberg should have never given in to the deceit of Wisan. The trust was solvent until Wisan took over.
Basically, this is what happens to a trust when it is determined that the trustees don't manage it correctly.
I'd be interested in knowing whether Warren Jeffs and others who previously managed the trust took more out of it than the current trustees. If not, then it would be hard to make a case that Jeffs was using the trust for his own purposes. He would have been charging appropriate management fees.
The FLDS membership used to contribute money to the trust and stopped doing so until it was forced by the trustee to contribute. This took time and there is now a backlog of expenses, which is why property has to be sold. This property can be bought by the FLDS. The only change is that the property will not be a part of the trust.
Where were the trustees in 2005 when they were supenoaed? Where was Rod Parker? He was respresenting Flds then to.
The beneficiaries were never given a voice EVER, even before 2005.
Warren Jeffs was selling off trust lands belonging to beneficiaries before he went on the run. How do you think YFZ was financed.
Every issue is documented on the UEP Trust website. And had been since Wisan was appointed.
Anyone can see Jeffs confusion of NOT being or ever have been prophet, on youtube, it certainly isnt any secret. When the original trustees failed to appear in 2005, New ones was asked for. People from FLDS certainly were scrambling for the positions.
So, now we have a Thug (willie Jessop) saying he wants to be a trustee, and once again Rod Parker has his hands in FLDS pockets.
Warren Jeffs never mismanaged the trust he was the president
Thank you "Common Sense"
Jeffs was on the run in 05.......show up in court and go to jail.
Ex Flds were appointed as advisors to the trust. The deck had been stacked.
Jeffs ran because he knew he had mismanaged the trust. So did the other trustees! If you read the trust, ALL members have a say so in what is sold, Jeffs asked no one, and he took some land by lying to the owners, and rod parker was in on that.
Why do you think Jeffs Ran?
If you would take the time to read UEP Trust site evidence, you would also know Warren Jeff had a dictation to the "Chosen Ones" The hand picked ones he had chosen to move to "Zion" YFZ ranch. He told them they werent to tell the others they were chosen, the ones left, werent to know about the ranch. in his own words: If anyone told who was going, they would be left behind!
I believe Jeffs was on the run because he was charged with accomplice to rape for performing a wedding ceremony.
Are these dictations the best evidence you have for trust mismanagment? Is that your legal opinion or is that just hype?
Jeffs performing illegal marriage ceremony came after the courts supeneoed him for the UEP trust mismanagement.
In the Flds faith Warren Jeffs is their "Prophet" and can do no wrong. He like his father and grandpa, all preformed underage marriage because it is the way of life,You get married young, have as many children as possible and bleed the beast by living on welfare. The gene pool is so shallow that Colo City and Hildale have the highest incidence of Fumarase defiencency in the world. If you look at who specificly Warren picked for his Zion that none had or carried the genes for it.You think The state of texas was the first ones to run the DNA of those children please, there are labs in those little border towns. Why do you think he married over 25 of his fathers wives?
This is more tilting at windmills. Legally, all Wisan has done is perform his fiduciary duty as a trustee. The FLDS' goal is to remove him from that role by claiming mismanagement. But, based on the evidence no mismanagement has occurred. I am sure Parker is encouraging the FLDS to be foolish because he benefits from their histrionics.
A government judge appointed an outside entity to control the financial core of FLDS, and that group's leader has spoken about it's "sociological and psychological war" with FLDS. Voting members of the group are bitter, "hateful, spiteful" ex FLDS members. The appointed fiduciary is liquidating homes and property. Seems like an innovative and possibly effective way to eliminate a society anyway.
FLDS is now defending their assets and should have full legal control over their property.
