The Nine Mile Canyon Coalition is being funded by SUWA and other green nazis. They are sell outs. Shame on them! I want cheaper energy, Utah energy. Good for Bill Barrett Corp. Shame on the green zealot sell outs!

Roger

Good job; let's get going on the drilling, and not spend millions fighting tree huggers. They do not have Utah's interest at hart, only their own selves.

Utah has the resources to help our state out. Let's quit wasting time.

drill, drill, drill

Drill here, drill now!!!

This is one of the areas that the Dems tout has already under lease, and why aren't they drilling there. Now we know why.

People are foolish to believe that just because the gas comes from Utah that we're going to be given some special pricing. Once that gas come out of the ground its price is dictated by the market. I support developing our natural resources I just don't believe they should trump ever other consideration, especially in unique and irreplaceable places like Nine Mile Canyon. And, if anyone is paying attention, the Nine Mile Canyon Coalitition is simply asking for industry to use alternative routes to their fields - JUST GO AROUND and the issues will be put to rest.

Notsoshortsighted

To anyone whos convinced this is an issue created by the greens and the libs, how do you explain the fact that The Union Sportsmens Alliance/Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Hopi Tribe have also written letters voicing their opposition to the way this project is being handled? Not to mention the Environmental Protection Agency. I know many of you will try to label these organizations as a bunch of enviros but youre only fooling yourself and others like you To you thinking folks this should be a clue that there actually might be substance these other organizations complaints. To the rest of you, maybe its time to admit that you just dont give a crap about anything as long as you get cheap natural gas.

rock art appreciator

Having watched the effects of all of the heavy truck traffic in the canyon over the last several years, I can attest to the severe dust and chemical damage to the precious rock art. Drill away, just find a way to stop the damaging dust. Alternate routes to the drilling sites, or paving the dirt road seems like small consequences for the preservation of thousands of years of ancient art, and all it can reveal about those native american people.
