Gooooooo Layton !!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm...

Springville, who is undefeated this year and who just beat Dixie in three straight games on Friday, isn't even on the radar?? What's up with that? If Dixie is #11, Springville should be in the top 10 somewhere. They made Dixie look silly.

Look for the Lady Devils to win Region 7 and go deep into state this year. They are a very good volleyball team.

Red Devil Fan

Someone at the paper is missing out on the Springville Red Devils. They are now 10-0 without losing one set this year. A 3-0 victory over 11th ranked Dixie last week should have at least raised some interest about this team that is starting five seniors. They finished best from region 7 at state last year and have Lindsay Barker, a potential state MVP. Go Devils!

Devil supporter

I can't believe you have overlooked Springville. They dominated Dixie and all yo can do is post the score. No mention of them at all. Oops someone is meesing up!!

PG Fan

PG looks like the team to beat! Hitters everywhere and a solid defense. Brooke McAlister is the leader of this team. Already committed to the University of Utah for 2009, she is best all around player in the state!

Go Vikes!!

Region 9 over-rated

I cannot believe that you have ranked the Region 9 schools 10, 11, and 12. C'mon! Reality check?!

Sure, Snow Canyon beat Dixie last year in the 4A championships. But that was LAST YEAR!

Hurricane?!?!?! Who have they played???

Region 9 not to shabby

I have watched Hurricane in two tournaments; the Dixie college and Dixie HS tournaments and there is a reason they were in the top at both. Hunter HS, Lone Peak, Highland and many others attended, seems the Tigers held their own and placed above them (except Lone Peak) who struggled to finish the Tigers. Any team that has played the Tigers knows all to well their speed and ability to hurt you in a variety of ways.
Snow Canyon and Dixie are always tough, solid coaching all through region 9. any big school that has played SC or Dixie knows they are tough, in fact Snow Canyon just beat Taylorsville and Dixie battled LP before dropping in 5.
Can't argue yearly success, that is what region 9 does year in and year out....

Layton 8-0, hasn't lost yet. Beat everybody in the Skyline invitational tournament recently, and region starts this week! Some serious hitters and a solid team this year for 1st year coach.

OK

We get the message pgfan. Are you going to post that same comment again next article?

Volleyball Blues

Are you really OK? What is it....don't you like hearing Pleasant Grove is the team to beat?

Hey OK.... I am excited for my school and my friend. I am showing my support and not criticizing anyone else. Why dont you try supporting a team or a friend instead your negative comments.

Wow, in one day Brighton drops from a #3 ranking to not ranked at all? What happened in one day to drop so far? The paper shows their record 1-1 when the only match they've played was Lone Peak where they lost each game by only 2 points. I think Lone Peak has played more like 8 or 9 matches (? - tourney in Dixie), comparatively almost mid-season form. I will give LP credit, their crowd accounts for more than half the team - tough place to play, especially your first match of the year. Wait until Brighton has a few matches under their belt and then re-rank them. My own take on LP, Ashlan carries the team, everybody else follows - pretty cool for a sophomore.
